Review of Makeup Artist's Choice (MUAC) TCA Peel by Chrissys16

I LOVE this stuff!! At 33 years old (plus a lot of fun-in-the-sun in my teens and 20's), I was starting to feel like I was getting "old lady hands", so used the 12.5% strength. I would've gotten a higher % but I just finished a course of Accutane 6 months ago & the site advises not to use til you have been off Accutane for at least 24 months (ok, so following rules is NOT my strong suit, although I did employ extra caution when using it.

I am on my 5th day so far and my hands are looking great (or on their way to looking great, anyway). Days 1 & 2, my skin started to look kind of "crinkly" and then, by Days 3 & 4, my skin was peeling like crazy (reminded me of doing construction paper projects as a kid and accidentally getting Elmer's glue on my skin and peeling it off after it dried). Today, the peeling is slowly tapering off and so far, so good!

I cannot WAIT to do my face after I see how my hands turn out. One tip not mentioned on the site, which I read on a cosmetic surgery site is that, if you are doing the face, to "taper the strength by applying a slightly lower strength to the ears and neck in order to avoid a major transition zone that is the mark of an amateur." I'm not planning on going to THAT much trouble, but I definitely realized I probably ought to do my neck...as well as my sun-spotted upper chest!
