i love this duo!! I love the Browntones Duo from Maybelline.
Ill start with the packaging which to me isnt the prettiest but its not the worst. it does its purpose. now im not the one for the over-bulky packaging which i cant stand that so thats why i dont hate this. its just the right size, small enough to be good for travel & its big enough where u get a decent amount of each shadow.
The price is great, i paid around $3 @ walmart (yea its the cheapest there or at target) i had a $1 coupon so it was even cheaper which is even better (im a bargain beauty hunter)
Now onto the Shadows themself...
This duo comes with two square shaped shadows roughly around the size of a nickel which i think is a great amount of shadow bc i dont need a huge amount of any shadow bc i have alot in my collection..
There is a Matte skintone shadow more of a cream with a yellow undertone but even with my cool skintone it makes a gorgeous all over color to even out redness or set for all ur other shadows..i use this alot as a blender color so that i can blend out my crease color & alot for a brow highlight color... its soft & pigmented & easy applies & blends very well
The other shadow is a deep chocolate brown..has a teeny bit of a shimmer but more of a satin finish. i dont find there to be sparkles or shimmers on my eyes when i apply this. its one of my favorite crease colors. it def adds dimension & definition to my crease. its dark for my crease but its not black. its def one of my go to crease color for daytime...it can def be dark enough & can be built up for even more drama if needed..its smooth & creamy & blends so well..
so this def a great smoothly pigmented duo of shadows that is great for daytime looks...simple & gorgeous
or u can build them up for a evening look..
i will def repurchase if i ever get thru these shadows.. this is def one of the shadows i reach for alot even though i got tons of eyeshadows....i just feel like these two looks look so simple but yet do so much!
hope they never d/c this duo..
i know they have re-packaged these & im not sure how the new shadows differ but im interested in seeing if they are even better than these two..the package i got the shadows are the same size & in the newer packaging, ones bigger than the other..
Such a great duo & i love it!
