Review of Rimmel Extra Super Lash (Curved Wand) by venny
I have raved enough about this mascara on the boards, that i figure i should write an actual review here. This is the BEST mascara i've tried, and believe me, i've tried them all. So if you have my lash type, i strongly suggest you try this one. ok, now for the real review...
My lash type: long, straight, thin asian lashes that are hard to curl, and even harder to maintain a curl.
what this product promises to do: it claims to give an "eye opening experience", build lashes from natural to full, separate and define, and be suitable for contact lens wearers
does this product deliver?: YES. one thousand times yes. This is the first time I've had a product do everything it claims to do. The formula has a gel-like consistency that literally locks your curled lashes into place. Even if you have a wayward lash, using the wand to hold it where you want it to be for a few seconds will do the trick. I like my lashes swept up and curled to the max, so this truly gives me an "eye opening experience".
It's also a buildable formula, so you can apply as many coats as you want to achieve any effect you want. And the best part is, it never clumps; even if you apply another coat in the evening. Personally, i like to use two coats.. on the second coat i like to perfect each lash by using the tip of the wand.
it separates and defines each lash, cuz the wand is smaller than most... so it is easy to catch each and every lash for maximum definition.
this mascara is perfect for contact lens wearers because no matter how much you comb through your lashes, it never flakes into your eye. trust me: i comb through them quite a bit and i never notice any flakes on my cheekbones. and as a contact lens wearer, this becomes especially important... many times mascaras flake into my eyes and they become irritated. butn ot with this little beauty :)
in terms of the length of time that a tube lasts, I have been using this one tube for the equivalent of 2 months now (my mascara gets a lot of use, since my greasy part time job forces me to apply makeup twice a day), and i see no signs of it drying up, clumping, or just giving up on me. My lashes look as great now, as they did when i just opened the tube. Mascara life is crucial for me, since i'm really picky about my mascara's performance; I have thrown out tubes long before even one month is up, just cuz i'm no longer satisfied with its performance. But this little tube is still going strong!
In general, my resulting lashes are uplifted (think push-up bra for lashes), darker, fuller and longer. They are sexxier and flirtier than with any mascara i've ever tried; even my sister noticed how pretty my lashes are with it on, and now she's totally converted :)
And the price? $3.98 CAD at WalMart. can't beat that! I am truly amazed at how the cheapest mascara ever is the one that I'm most happy with :)
Bottom line: go out and buy it. at least try it once! it's so cheap you might as well. I am confident that if you have a similar lash type to mine, then you'll be extremely happy :) It may be the HG you've been waiting for... i know it's mine!
