I’ve always hated drugstore foundations a waste of time, money while experiencing severe break outs, irritation & hideous color matching. It had been a year since my last drugstore foundation purchase; Revlon color stay which not only was ashy but BURNED MY FACE. I vowed never to buy another “low end” foundation. However, many people raved about L’Oreal’s true match foundation w/ new formulation & expanded range of shades. After, seeing a display at the local Walgreens w/ all the deep dark shades I bought n8 (cappuccino) & n9 (mahogany). N8 was SLIGHTLY lighter, making my complexion look fake & flat. N9 was my exact shade when first applied but oxidized terribly after 5 mins making me look WAY DARKER. Finally mixed the two & it’s PERFECT. True match looks great, lightweight, soft demi matte finish; make my pores look smaller & long lasting even WITHOUT a primer. No breakouts or irritations either if you are lucky to find a shade you go for it & suggest mixing shades to find a perfect match. I normally don’t do that but these were only 8.99 a piece so no damage done (reason this got 4 lippies). My faith in drugstore foundation is renewed it’s better than my Mac match master. The consistency is somewhat liquidly giving w/ medium to full coverage. NOTE: To my fellow “dry skinners”, although the finish is soft matte moisturizing makes all a difference helping it synch into skin.
