I am so torn on this product. I love the formulation. I love the brush. I love the way it makes my lashes look. What don't I like? The fact that both times I've tried to wear this mascara I've ended up with a wicked sty in my eye that took 2 weeks to disappear. In February 2011, I purchased the small $9 sample tube from Sephora. I used it several times and one morning woke up with a sty in the middle of my upper lid. It got so bad I had to go on antibiotics - oral and eye drops. It took close to two weeks to finally disappear. My eye was swollen shut. I threw away the mascara and the one eyeshadow palette I'd used for the few weeks prior and went back to Maybelline Great Lash. In February 2012 (almost a year to the day, which is kind of freaky) I re-purchased the BadGal Lash - again the $9 sample tube from Sephora to try it again since I loved the formulation SO much. Within two days of using it I ended up with a sty in the SAME eye in the SAME spot. Eye doctor says it's a recurrent sty and I will most likely need to have it removed. >.< BadGal lash is the ONLY new product or product change I made to my routine. Again, the mascara and another eyeshadow palette went into the garbage. I don't know what it is about the formula that did this to me. Again, I really love the formula and I loved the way it made my lashes look. I didn't love the painful sty and the 2 weeks of antibiotics. I know sometimes beauty can hurt, but this is ridiculous! LOL I switched to Benefits They're Real and haven't had an issue since. (knock on wood).
