Review of Estee Lauder Double Wear (old formula) by kiki_kjt
before i get started, i couldn't agree more with the packaging comments- glass bottle, no pump - why?!
ok moan over. i love this product i have fair skin, slightly 'fluffy' cheeks (those of you who have the same know what i mean) and i wear pebble shade when i have a hint of self tan on and fresco when i am natural.
having tried various types of foundation and almost settling on a mineral powder brand here in the uk i began to worry my fluffy cheeks were showing a little too much. on a friends advice i went to the counter with a voucher printed off the estee website to get a free trial and 3weeks supply to try - i got 2 bottle to try as the lady behind the counter said both would work well.
i finally took the plunge to buy the full size when every one (boyfriend & parents included)commented on a natural finish (and no fluffy cheeks!)
i find the best (most natural)application is done when you dont over moisturise, and use a brush to apply aprox 1cm square to the tops of your cheeks (1cm both cheeks)and then blend out and down, using up the remainder around your nose area. then i just top up the chin and forehead with a tiny amount more and come out with very smooth finish.
this is definatly a product to build up slowly and blend well or you could look caked but once you get the hang of application its a god send! and wow does it last - even a cotton bud dipped will cover some of my more angry time of the month spots!
thanks to other mentioning pump bottles, im off to boots for one after work tomorrow!
