I tried to like Bare Minerals. I really, really tried, especially since I had heard good reviews from some acquaintances (I should've checked MUA first! Lesson learned..). But I have never come across foundations worse than this one.

First off & most concerning, I NEVER had to worry about breakouts before using this powder. Of course, there was the occasional pimple, but it was always just one, once in a blue moon--never, ever consistent breakouts. But lo and behold, after trying this powder, I continually broke out all over my cheeks and temple. It was a never-ending cycle of beauty misery.

Secondly, I always used the suggested tiny amount of powder: just enough for some decent coverage. However, even the tiniest amount applied felt like a pound of makeup being caked on. My skin literally felt like it was suffocating under a blanket of powder. It was just so, so heavy.

To make matters worse (as if they could get any worse, right?), the powder COMPLETELY swallowed up all my features. I always ended up looking one-dimensional. Like an animation from old-school Disney movies. Except, I looked like one of those ugly stepsisters instead of the princess.

In short, I couldn't wait to get rid of this foundation. And surprise, surprise, immediately upon switching over to my new HG Chanel compact (love, love, LOVE, but that's another review!), my acne began to clear away! Good riddance Bare Minerals, I am never, ever purchasing you again.

Oh, and screw you Bare Escentuals for making me believe this "natural" powder would do wonders for my skin >:O
