I work for a 'certain company' in a department that *sells* this stuff, and I was smitten with it. Until I moved on to bigger and better things...
My opinion: It's not amazing, it's not spectacular, it's not the best. There are ok products, there are even *great products* but you can find much better out there.
The foundation is something I had a hard time giving up. After using it for close to a year, I despised other formulas. It didn't harm my skin and was easy to apply with the BE brushes but I hated the way my 20 year old, normal, line free skin looked at the end of the day. I *know* how to apply this correctly. Heck, I've had Leslie apply it once a while back, and later in the day my face looked cakey and kind of 'blah' no matter what. There's not a huge color selection but the shades are fairly forgiving. The coverage is sheer/medium. Buff it on with the Kabuki brush (awesome brush!). Bisque is a crappy over hyped product to me. It doesn't match most skin tones and is the same as everything else...booo-ring. For the best coverage apply your BE foundation shade with a synthetic concealer brush over areas that need more coverage, THEN buff on the foundation. This is the most natural looking way to cover and what I obediantly tell clients after being instructed to do so :)
The eyeshadows/glimmers...Pretty colors but the lack of staying power on my non-oily lids is unforgivable. EVERYTHING stays put on me. These don't last past lunchtime.
The lip products are average. Buzz lattte does not perform as well as the scent does. The lipglosses are drugstore quality. The lipsticks aren't bad. The 'lip quickies' are pure gimmick. :)
The blushes are nice...I prefer other brands but these are still nice. You get a huge amount and they're highly pigmented.
The mascaras suck. Don't bother. Get Maybelline.
BE brushes are awesome quality but work best with BE products. The eyeshadow brushes go from being way too big to way too small. I adore the Kabuki brush. The blush brush is alright. The foundation brushes work well with the BE foundation, but not much else.
My picks are Mineral Veil and True. I have a huge discount to use towards BE, these are the only two products I bother with anymore.
If you can get the products to work for you, it's a line worth looking at. I love the whole 'natural' thing but the idea that natural is always better for your skin is a HUGE misconception. Poison Ivy is natural. :p
