Review of Aubrey Organics GPB Conditioner by Caprig
I traced serious eye problems I had been having to Sodium Lauryl/Laurteth/Myreth Sulfates a few months ago. When I tried to find shampoos and body products without them, I was frustrated. Aubrey was one of the lines that seemed committed to making safe products.
I read some great reviews here and decided to try several Aubrey products, one of which is GPB Conditioner.
After being so thrilled with the now defunct VS line of volumizing products, I thought I would never find anything that would give my hair such beautiful volume that lasts for days.
When I tried the GPB conditioner with the JAY shampoo, I have to say I was shocked. I originally purchased the JAY/GPB combo for my husband who has long layered dry wavy hair which is frizzy most of the time. When he used it, I swear, it looked like he had a wig on!
That combo made his hair look curly, shiny and like it used to years ago before working outside damaged it.
When I tried it on my baby fine, thin, wavy hair, I was expecting the worst. My shock was that it actually made my hair very wavy, light, shiny, and CLEAN for several days! The GPB did not weigh it down at all- although I do not use a conditioner daily, I do use it once a week.
My husband leaves it in his hair and does not wash it out. He washes his hair every 2 or 3 days and uses GPB every time. It looks fabulous.
My daughter who has processed hair that is very snarly, uses it on her straight thick but fine hair about once a week, and her hair looks the best it has looked in a long time.
My son, who has oily/normal hair can use it a couple times a week with no weighing down. He has thick wavy short hair.
This is the ONLY conditioner that I have ever had in my life that EVERYONE in my family can use despite our radically different hair types.
GPB CONDITIONER by AUBREY ORGANICS is truly the best stuff I have ever used, beating out VS, which I thought NO ONE would ever beat, natural or not.
Oh yes- and the fragrance is just like the old co-op general store which had a lot of balsam wood in it years ago. It is very different and invigorating. Wonderfully woodsy.
