Review of Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm by hulakids
This BB has been great for my skin! I can see that this cream may not be preferred by those with a light complexion, but for those with some color, this might be something worth looking into. I have sampled other BBs (Dr. Jart -hard to blend, Sarah McNarama-color off, Tarte-color off) and found for my Asian complexion (yellow undertone),the closest product colors were Bobbi Brown (medium) and NARS (St Moritz). While Bobbi has a SPF of 35, dewy look, antiaging ingredients at 1.35 oz for $42 and being thicker to blend, UDs BB works better for me...the NARS definitely is a better value at 1.9oz for $42, leaves a dewy finish, so no need to add moisturizer, but doesn't have "long lasting" antiaging ingredients :( so UDs BB remains top on my repurchase list until someone comes along that is better.
Pros:
Light texture and easy to apply
Little portion can go far
Blends into my sun kissed olive complexion
Minimizes fine lines
Coverage is like a sheer/tinted moisturizer
Has antiaging ingredients (haven't used it for > 4 weeks to see the claimed results)
Has SPF 20
Mattifies
No parabens
Cons:
If you're looking for a beauty balm that covers imperfections, this is not it
Can see poor color match for light skin/pink toned individuals
SPF is only 20
Cost $34 for 1.18 oz
Mattifying lasts only a few hours
Face looks dry and not dewy (I have to use moisturizer underneath to get dewy look :(
Has silicones (may cause acne for some...I use f/x acne primer to avoid any breakouts)
