Review of Origins GinZing Brightening Mascara by annbelles
I bought this after reading the LUCKY magazine review. Love the mascara...HATE the brush.
The color is very black. It lengthens well, not a lot of volume but it doesn't claim to be a volumizer. The tube is big and will last a long time. Longer then the recommended 3 month period to use before bacteria builds up in any mascara. (Personally, I use all my mascaras until they're dry, but that's just me. Never had a problem). Another huge plus ~ is very little flaking.
Most important ~ it does provide some "lift", keeping the curl up. My lashes are long, but naturally stick straight.
My routine for curl: use Tart or Tweezerman curler heated with blow dryer, apply Shiseido Nourishing Mascara Base, apply Origins GinZing Brightening Mascara on the top lashes. Curl falls a bit but is still 80- 90% still there at the end of the day. That's the best result I've ever been able to achieve after trying 100's of "lash curling tricks".
I can use any mascara on the bottom lashes that has a small or normal size brush. It is impossible to use the Super XL Origins brush on the corners or bottom with out accidentally touching my skin!
Worth mentioning- this product is supposedly more natural than drug store mascaras in terms of the chemicals used. No parabens.
Easily removed with soap &water.
Price is $17.50 USD, reasonable for a higher end product. Will repurchase. Praying that they change the brush to a smaller, more workable, normal size.
