Review of Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm by Shamisen
This is the new lip balm range from Maybelline. They have four flavours -
Energizing orange
Smoothing Cherry
Refreshing Menthol
Antioxidant Berry
I have Energizing orange and Smoothing Cherry. They are realllllly good lip balms. They are the sort of silky paste feeling balms, like blistex silk and shine, as opposed to the silky gel feeling balms like blistex daily lip conditioner.
The scents are pleasant and not too strong. The orange one has a nice sherbety orange scent. The cherry one is sort of a cross between cherry and peach. It's much nicer than I thought it would be. I was anticipating the sort of fake cherry lolly type of taste. I got cherry second because I forgot to bring a lip balm with me when I went out today and I was desperate. I think I like it better than the orange one.
They're really nice and moisturising. I think my other lip balms are going to be relegated to wallow in my stash.
I really like how they come on cardboard backing which means that they don't need to have all the product information on the tube. So all it has is the super cute logo and the scent on the tube. No ugly barcode or anything like that. The writing is printed directly onto the tube as well which is nice.
