Review of Maybelline Fit Me by miuloves
This is a pretty good concealer. A little on the sheer side, but can be used sort of like a foundation on problem areas. I'll copy my review from http://basemakeupreviews.blogspot.com/2011/09/review-concealer-maybelline-fit-me.html
(you can see swatches of it there)
First Impressions: As I said before, the packaging is very simple and chic. Much better than the over-the-top logos and flashy letters I see in so many drugstore brands. Anyway, the concealer is in a standard "lip-gloss" tube with the spongey tipped applicator (what're they called again?). No complaints here.
Color: I got this in "Sand 20", which is a great match for my current NC30 skin with olive yellow undertones. When I was NC35, this provided a nice brightening effect, but now that I'm lighter, I can use it all over for an even match. I would say even someone slightly lighter than NC30 can use it, if they wanted to use it instead of foundation. I prefer this shade for use on the face and not the under-eyes, as it does nothing to offset the undertone of my dark circles. There are 6 shades in total, ranging from light to medium-deep. If you are not very light or dark, you will be spoiled with choice.
Coverage and Wearability: The coverage is on the sheer side, but can be built up to medium. It may seem redundant to use this if you use full coverage foundations, but for those who like things sheerer, this would be for you. I have seen pictures of other beauty bloggers using this instead of foundation--dabbing and blending on problem areas such as cheeks and around the nose--and it looks great. Also, it doesn't look cakey at all.
The wear of this concealer is moderate. It's not the worse, but I've used more long-wearing ones. If you built the coverage to cover a blemish, it will definitely fade over time and reveal the blemish if you're oily. Pressing loose powder over the concealed areas with a puff, then buffing away helps prolong the wear, but I think you'd have better luck with a true long-wear concealer, such as Canmake's Cover & Stretch Waterproof Concealer (near holy grail status for me).
Overall: Though this isn't the most long-wearing, high coverage concealer out there, it does get points for having a non-cakey finish and good yellow-based color selection. Since it can double as a light foundation, I can see myself carrying this in my makeup bag if I needed to go on a short trip (and didn't want to bring a full foundation bottle).
While I have found uses for this concealer, it may not be for you if you want something full coverage.
I give it a 3.5 out of 5.
