Review of Illamasqua Milf by Moremi
I'm confused about the previous reviewers opinion. Are we talking about the same product? Mine is perfection.
I stumbeld across it while looking at Raeview channel on YT. She had a pink shirt on and wore MILF. I'm a sucker for the pink and green combo and knew I wanted it immediately. I never got a chance to see it in person since we don't have Illamasqua in Sweden, so I swapped for it. I must say, I was NOT disappointed.
Formula: It's not runny nor goopy, just smooth. And you never get those irritating bubbles.
Brush: It's thin which makes it possible to get a perfect application by the cuticles. You get the perfect oval. The thin brush does not make it hard to cover the whole nail and does not give streaks. My brush was defect and has one stray hair. The problem is easily solved by turning the brush!
Packaging. It looks good, but I'm a bit irritated about the fact that the top is square, which makes it a bit uncomfortable to hold.
Color&finish: It's a pale, cool toned mint green jelly/cream. The finish is extremely glossy. If you own any products from Clinique in their classic green packaging (i.e. 7 day scrub), that is the color you get. The swatch on their web site is also very accurate.
Overall: I am very satisfied and I love green in combination with brown (My hands are about NC50). Maybe cuz I love trees? I think this color can suit a wide range of skin tones, from pale to dark. Those with warm under tones can benefit from the fact that this polish is cool toned. The contrast makes the color really pop!
