Review of Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Foundation by joankate
This is singularly one of the best foundations I have ever used. Having tried both powder, creme to powder, & liquid foundations from Chanel, Lancome, SKII and almost every other brand - this is the very best. I have oily, acne-prone & skin and this causes no irritation & no breakouts. I begin with Murad's SPF oil-control mattifier, then apply this with my fingers and finish with the smooth focus shine control from the same line. I use the warm ivory shade and it's wonderful. Because of all the topicals I use for anti-aging & anti-acne treatments, my skin can get very red and the warmth or yellow tones in this color neutralize redness better than anything I have used before. I've spent the last 10 years looking for something just 1/2 as good as this and this far exceeded my expectations. For those who might be acne-prone or slightly to moderately oily, you may still wish to try this. If anything, my skin seems to be a little less oily and looks better even after I wash my face. It is pricey, but worth every single penny.
