This brush is a hybrid of Mac #130 and Everyday Mineral's Flat Top. The surface area is about 4x to #130 and because the synthetic hair is shorter and as dense as the EM it is perfect for cream fdn, especially on my favourite, Cinema Secret, of course it also work on the RCMA, Graftobian, and other cream to powder fdn as well. I find it works as well as the BeautyBlender, and this does not wear off like the sponge.
Instead of dipping the brush directly onto the fdn, I will spread it on my stainless steel palette (or any smooth serface) thinly, then I use this brush to pick up the product, stippling is the best method, although smoothing work as well.
I find it a bit tricky for liquid fdn as I still think my fingertip is the best for it.
For that price, I already ordered a second one for back up. Best of all it is synthetic hair, there is no such thing as cruelty free (animal) brush.
Let me hold you down & shave your hair against your will & tell me how you feel.
EDIT: I find this brush is too too dense, there is no "give" to it. I much prefer the Sedona Lace #480
