Review of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Nail Polish by arvlyn
I bought this nail polish in #330 - Pedal To The Metal, which is a shimmery gray/silver color. Considering how long it takes me to even begin to use an entire bottle of polish, I don't think the price of $5.99 is too much at all if it ends up to be good.
I used this as it is intended, without an added base or top coat. The wide "professional" style brush made applying it quick and easy, it went on perfectly and smoothly with little effort. Two coats gave me the color of the bottle. It dries slower than a "quick dry" polish, but faster than a typical polish. It isn't very shiny when it dries and that does bother me to an extent, but I still won't put a top coat on it this time to see how it manages on its own.
Just one day later and the polish still looks pretty good, despite my doing a lot of typing, paperwork and housework. I'll edit my review in a few days on how well it continues to wear.
Edit two days later - so much tip wear...bleh. I added another coat, just to make it look better until I decide to change it altogether and not only did I get even more tip wear, but it started chipping. I lowered my rating for this product. I'll try it again with a base and top coat because I like the color. Would I buy it again? I'm not really sure. If I found a color I really liked, I probably would, and I'd use a base and top coat with it.
