Review of Unlisted Brand Contrived Pressed Blush in Foreplay by Rock and Republic Cosmetics by aamna_601
I am still on the fence about whether to keep this blush or not. It's an amazing blush. I've been wearing it for a few days now. The packaging is so luxe and fantastic--its black and chrome-looking with R&R on it: the blush itself is HUGE, which makes me feel better about spending 40 bucks on a blush (pretty expensive imo especially since NARS blushes are 25ish).
The actual pigmentation of this blush is probably medium to high. It's not as pigmented as BB or MAC, but it is not for the faint of heart either--I would put the pigmentation up there with NARS. The blushes are very one dimensional, which is exactly what I am looking for--enough with this glitter business for gods sake, especially for women with oily skin. This blush is like a 'better' version of Lancome's cedar rose or Dior's backstage blush in must-have brown. Its a very natural wearable brown that could be used as a light bronzer or a blush. It is a very cedar type color though; and I really love it. I am using it in conjunction with NARS Maldives multiple and it gives the perfect contoured look/natural flush with a bit of glow. The staying power is very good--with very oily skin, I would put it at about 6 to 7 hours.
Totally love the color, consistency, texture, and pigmentation; but not sure if its that unique where I should keep it, especially for the price. Also although I love the packaging its not very portable--it makes my makeup bag look like its going to burst at the seams, so I'm rethinking keeping it. If I decide to return, I will update. And, it definitely does not make me break out or dissipate on oily skin or turn orange (so thumbs up there).
