This foundation is good. It goes on smoothly and evenly and it lasts all day. It doesn't make me break out and seems to be a little moisturizing. It also doesn't accentuate any dry patches on my face like other cream to powder foundations I've tried.
I wish that it had a higher SPF (15 doesn't seem like a lot). I also use powder foundation over top of it still as I don't like any kind of shine.
I've tried every foundation you can imagine and none have been as impressive as this one! It goes on smoothly and evenly and it lasts all day. Highly recommended!
I purchased this in Creamy Natural. I'm usually lighter like Ivory, Bobbi Brown Sand, Laura Mercier Creme Ivory, Mary Kay Ivory 202.
I like the consistency of this. Its not super oily and I don't feel the need to use a powder over it. Creamy Natural really isn't a very good match for me. I probably need a shade or two lighter.
I'll use this as SPF in a pinch... the color is slightly salmony so it makes a terrific under eye concealer, but I don't think I will repurchase. It seems like it oxidizes a bit, and I had it on for maybe an hour and a half to go grocery shopping. I'll use it up, but I won't repurchase.
UPDATE: I have changed my mind about this foundation. Avon recently added new color selections to their foundation lines and I'm wondering if they also improved on the formulas. I tried this one again in one of the new shades, Light Caramel. Not only is it *the* perfect color for me, the product both looked and felt good on my face. I did find that I got a little oily earlier than I normally would but I just took care of that with my powder from another brand. I was pleasantly surprised. FURTHER UPDATE: sadly, this causes breakouts around the sides of my mouth and chin. Am going to try this in the liquid.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I also do not care for this particular foundation. I find the liquid version to be much better. The coverage with this one is unpredictable at best. Fortunately, it didn't cost a mint so I don't feel so bad about just throwing it out, which is exactly what I plan to do.
urgh....i hate this foundation. First shades are lighter than the liquid extralasting foundation. So order 2 shades darker than your skintone. I ordered my usual cream beige in this cream to powder version, it was very light. Than I ordered Natural Tan, its still too light, then I ordered Pure Beige, its a close match but still to neutral. So I will review Pure Beige, it is blotchy, the formula sort of covers when I first put it on. Then through out the day, it dissapears, leaving me patchy! The coverage and thickness is better on the liquid foundation.
