I don't have a problem with dark under eye circles so I can't speak for that. Overall I treat this as a light moisturizer for my eye area, I use it every morning. It smooths right in and it does have just a little glimmer to it, nothing you would ever really notice but it does make my eye area look brighter and more awake in the mornings :) I like it a lot and you can definitely apply makeup over it so no worries there, I will continue to buy this stuff lasts forever anyways.
Got this in the sephora favourites package, therefore it was more affordable than it is sold inividually. I used it for a couple nights then noticed that I had a pimple like bump forming under my right eye. I have acne prone skin but have never broken out here, and I thought it was a councidence. I stopped using it while the bump went away in order to not irritate it further. Started using it again and it happened under my other eye!!!!! I'm not sure if im allergic or if this product just clogs pores or what. But I will not repurchase.
i've tried so many different eye creams, and none of those works. i used this for almost a week now and i noticed that my dark circle is lighten, i hope it gets better when i finish this jar.
I'm really liking this product so far. I don't have any serious issues with under eye area. I have though noticed increased puffiness over time. I was in Sephora and told the SA I was looking for an eye cream. She said I didn't have dark circles really so something de-puffing and with a little brightening would be good for me. She tried this product on me and I pretty much saw an immediate change. The under eye area is brightened and opened up, and puffiness is decreased. The product is also lightweight and absorbs quickly. I pretty much can't stand anything heavy on my face. So this is a great option in my opinion!
I really wanted to love this, at first I was working so well and then it started to burn my eyes... Really wanted to love this...
I like this eye cream because it is light but it still moisturizes nicely. It helps my eyes to look refreshed during the day. I do not know about its effectiveness to reduce fine lines/wrinkles in the long term, but I definitely see that on relatively young skin, it freshens up tired eyes. I prefer my Tarte Maracuja cream only because it is a little thicker, but overall this is a much cheaper alternative.
No spatula, its in a jar, and for an eyeproduct in a jar you DO NOT WANT BACTERIA AT ANY COST, this makes my sensitive eyes go all wet and dont do much in moisture.
As someone who has TERRIBLE dark circles and sensitive eyes, I have tried a lot of different eye creams and been impressed with very few. I am happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised with this. I had a facial at the Origins counter and the girl tried it on me, but at the time I was like whatever. She gave me a sample to take home and I have been using it morning and night for the past few days. It's light and does a decent job moisturizing, but this morning I really noticed that my dark circles were much lighter than they normally are. The only other eye cream that has given me that kind of result is the Dr. Brandt Flaws No More R3P eye cream which is much pricier. I will definitely continue to use this and maybe layer it under a heavier moisturizer at night.
Overall I like the consistency and the way my eyes look refreshed after I put this on. For context this is my daytime we cream. I am looking for something that gives moisture (but not too much, so my make up wont slide) and serves for a nice base to my eye makeup. This delivers on both accounts. I like the brightening effect of this for morning time. I are a lot of negative reviews here but I actually think its kind of nice. Serves the purpose I need it to. When my eyes are dry I prefer eye doctor which is my night cream for my eyes since its more hydrating. I just wish origins would get rid of the pots. All the products I own from them are in pots. Annoying!!
Why oh why would you want shimmer in an eye cream?! To draw attention to your wrinkles?! When I read "brightening" on the packaging, I thought this would have some sort of AHAs or Vit C or something in it, NOT the fine pearly particles that it actually contains. To me this looks like Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector or some other highlighter.
I received a big sample of this, and I did try it on my eyes once, before having a look at it in the pot (big mistake). Obviously I can't talk about the long term effects, but to be honest even the formulation felt heavy to me, much heavier than an eye cream should be.
I ended up using this on my neck and chest and being thankful that I didn't pay the high price point for it. Such a shame as I usually love Origins products.
