I use the Tea Tree Tingle shampoo once a week and co-wash with this 2-3 times per week. I'm a curly girl and this is perfect. My hair is soft and smells so good after! This gets rid of flakes in winter and calms itch. No irritating fragrance or dyes and the soy protein is awesome for my curls.
I just finished my first bottle and I will swing by TJ later to grab another. I like the fact that this conditioner doesn't contain parabens. It works like an average conditioner, nothing too special. It has cool, minty feeling on the scalp, but it won't get rid of dandruff. The price is super cheap, especially for something that isn't loaded with chemicals.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! I've been using this conditioner for about 6 months now with the matching shampoo (adore the shampoo too!) and my hair looks and feels soft and silky. I am starting CO washing this week and will be using this conditioner, I have no doubt it will work excellent.
Great for co-washing!!! It makes hair clean, moisturized, and manageable. You cant really ask for more.
Crap crap crap. That's all I can say. The shampoo that goes with this dries your hair out like crazy and this conditioner does nothing to reverse it. It doesn't "tingle", it doesn't help dandruff, it doesn't smooth hair or make it more manageable, it's just like rubbing lotion in your hair and rinsing it out. Actually, that may be a better idea than using this crap.
Where have you been all my life? This conditioner smells heavenly, makes my hair silky soft and definitely delivers on price. I have been converted!
Didn't work for me. This left my hair very dry, brittle and unhealthy looking. The scent is okay. Also the large bottle is very unwieldy and difficult to handle.
I prefer the Trader Joes Nourish Conditioner even though it has parabens.
I hate this stuff!!! Personally I'm not a fan of tea tree smell (not why I gave it one star though because i tried it regardless knowing it would smell like tea tree) it gets one star because it barely moisturized my dry hair and striped a lot of the dyed color. If you have color treated hair do not use this!!
1) cruelty free (a huge point for me as I'm attempting to go cruelty free)
2) $4 for 16 oz
3) great for co-wash
1) only available at Trader Joe's (maybe hard to find for some)
2) May not provide enough conditioning for regular shampooers
I love this stuff, it's great for co-washing...and really, I only use this for co-washing on days that I don't use some sort of shampoo (I try to only shampoo once a week, during the rest of the week, I'll co-wash usually every day and no less than every other day). My waves/curls have looked slightly better, honestly, (they're a little on the fizzy side and not quite as defined when I use TJ's TTT), but still far better than washing with a regular sulfate shampoo and other conditioner. Scent is typical of tea tree/eucalyptus...a medicinal mint, but it's not strong, and your hair will only smell lightly of it when dry and pushed right up to your nose. I agree that for those of us with small hands, the bottle can be oddly difficult to hold/squeeze.
I need to note that I have BSL, fine/dense waves/curls...and my little rental apartment only affords *maybe* ten minutes of hot water, so the fact that I can use this conditioner, work it in, wash my hair with it and have enough time to wash the rest of my body and do a super quick shave, is HUGE. There are some “co-wash” conditioners that you have to spend 5+ minutes alone, just working them in and massaging etc etc etc. I do use quite a bit, one bottle lasts about a month for me. I have, and will continue to repurchase. continued >>
This is an extremely unimpressive conditioner, but an amazing product for co-washing! I use this in between washing, followed by a small amount of leave in conditioner, and am very pleased with the results.
