I own both Too Faced Shadow Insurance and UDPP (urban decay primer potion).

This product works just as well as UDPP.
The only difference is that UDPP would suit people with oily eyelids. This one feels a bit more greasier than UDPP.

I have oily lids during the summer so when I tried this last summer...I didn't quite like it. But now the weather has changed, I like this better :)

I absolutely love the packaging. It's better than UDPP's container which eventually you're going to have to cut open to get the remaining products out (which then leads to getting the chunks that came off while cutting the container, in your primer)

Oh... MY... Gosh. How did I go for so long without this stuff?! This is the most amazing makeup product I have ever used! I've got oily lids and my eyeliner runs away and disappears, my eyeshadow creases and looks so unvibrant and slick after like 3-4 hours after application. Shadow Insurance has really improved the longevity of my makeup on my eye area. My supposed long-wearing, waterproof, smudge-proof eyeliner is FINALLY long-wearing, waterproof, AND smudge-proof. I am so very much in love with this product! I love how soft and silky my eyelids feel after I apply this stuff too! I paid $22 CAD for it, but it will last me forever, as you only need a teeny tiny bit to cover your lids. Will repurchase when I run out.

Probably my favorite makeup product ever! I was at first kind of reluctant to get this because it was $17, which is more than I ever shell out for makeup. But I have to say that it's totally worth the price. I'm a big eyeshadow person and it always bugged me that at the end of the day all of my eyeshadow would be in my crease due to my oily eyelids. This holds onto the color for hours; even after I go to the school then go to the movies and grab dinner, my eyeshadow looks like I just applied it. It even helps with keeping my eyeliner in place. Don't be skeptical of the small size. You really only need a very small amount for application. I've had this for about a month and the tube still looks almost full! Now that I have it, I can't imagine being without it!

Too Faced Shadow Insurance is a fantastic eyeshadow primer!! Your lids are transformed to a perfect blank canvas providing a smooth surface to blend your shadows and keep them looking perfect and crease free throughout the day. The tube packaging is far superior to Urban Decay's Primer Potion as it is easier to apply, easier to get the product out, and most certainly more hygienic! A must have in my opinion!

I give this 5 stars and I will probably consider buying this. I got a free sample from Sephora and tried it. I have used UDPP in the past, and right now I am in love love love with the UDPP in Sin. But, this works too, and looks like the packaging is probably better than UDPP. Honeslty, I think it works as well as UDPP. It doesn't seem to be as drying as UDPP, but I like the UDPP too. So, I'm torn basically, I love and want them all! haha I love the color of Sin, but if I'm not in the mood for the Sin color I would use this in a heartbeat. I get no creasing, although I will say that I think the staying power of this one is maybe not quite as good as UDPP, but then again it's not bad. I don't know how much this one costs, but if it's cheaper than UDPP, I say buy this one.

I have just had this prouct and used it for the first time. I am very much satisfied with it. I put on my make up at 9:00 in the morning and came back home at 18:00. No creasing, no smudging. The eysehadow is at its place as it was at 9:00 am. I loved it!

I just got this product and have used it a few times, but tonight I put it to the ultimate test...now I usually don't wear makeup up when I work out but I notice that when I forget to wash any eye shadow off before I work out it creases like crazy! There will be no shadow on my actual eyelid, just a thick line in my crease lol. Anyway I used the shadow insurance along with an eyeshadow that creases really badly on me and I went to kickboxing, and worked out hard and sweated a lot and NO CREASING! wow! It still looked like I had just done my makeup! I'm very impressed! If it can stand up to that, then I am a lifetime customer!

I will never wear eyeshadow without this product on. This product definitely brings out the colors in your eyeshadows. Last all day even in the brutal Southern California summers. I really love the packaging for it as well. You get more product out of this tube then UDPP. For those who do not know the shape of UDPP bottle builds the product up in certain areas that the wand can not reach. Therefore causing you to get less product usage. Unlike this product where you squeeze the product out through a tube. All in all great product will definitely repurchase.

Excellent stuff. I swore off primers because UDPP made my eyelids raw, and LM Eye Basics (although it's good stuff) is very expensive. But when I gave this a chance I was pleasantly surprised! I've been using it awhile now and love it. It's very light weight, non-greasy, but does not dry out my already dry skin at all (it's a gel-like consistency). It works best when you let it dry completely first, then apply shadow. No creasing and the colour stays vibrant throughout the day. Washes off easily, too. Love this! It works even better than the LM Eye Basics.

I use this everyday and it keeps my eyeshadow on all day long. I work outside and I sweat and rub my face but this product keeps the eye makeup on. Wish I could find a foundation that stayed on like this does. I've never tried UDPP, and the idea that it works even better blows my mind! I think I'll stick with this one since everyone complains about UDPP's packaging. Oh and I have been using this for almost a year and I haven't used up this first tube I've bought, so I believe I'll change my rating on the price to cheap as it lasts a long time.
