I wouldn't dare put this on my oily skin for fear that it would break me out. I think it's too heavy as a facial moisturizer unless you have really dry skin. Like some of the other reviewers recommend, if you have some and don't want to use it as a face creme, it makes a wonderful hand, elbow or foot creme. I actually like the smell, it's soothing to me. Would not repurchase though.

I reviewed this product a few years ago, and decided to update. I see it has low ratings, but I really love this product. I think the average consumer uses too much of this product and that can yield horrible results. The trick to this moisturizer is that LESS IS MORE. I use less than a pea sized amount for my entire face.
Immediately after cleansing and patting my face dry I scoop the amount of about half the size of a pea onto my fingers. Then I rub my fingers together until the product melts and looks like a thin coating of lotion between my fingers. Then I pat onto my skin without rubbing. My skin treats this moisturizer as its own sebum and just drinks it up and I stay moisturized all day long. In the winter I do need to use a bit more, approximately double the amount I normally use because of the dry air giving me winter flakies. This has been the only moisturizer I've used (besides a rather long olive oil kick that I went on) for the past 6 years and I plan to use this for the rest of my life. Lotions break me out, and this does not. I realize this product is not for every one but know there are some huge fans of the Carrot Day Creme out there! Adore!

Too yellowy orange- it tinted my skin and the smell clashes with my perfume. Wont repurchase.

I got a sample of this in one of the Burt's kits and while I do not like to use it on my face, it makes a great cream for really dry hands. I really like the scent too.

My biggest beef with this product is the fact that it's not moisturizing enough. It just lies on my face like a yellow oil slick...and actually makes my face feel tighter. I'm not too bothered by the scent, though; it smells like a combination of carrot cake fragrance and the natural earthy scent of carrot seed essential oil (which does not smell a thing like carrots). Will not repurchase.

i like the smell...(once again, im a weird person who likes veggie smelling things) although im currently using a trial size...i really hope it hasnt changed, ill be upset. i dont find it slimy either, to me its a very smooth thick cream. i use it on my eye area and cheeks and it stays on well under makeup. i will buy the full size when my sample is up, although if the formula has really changed like some people have mentioned ill probably swap it. but at the moment i love this stuff:)Penny

i really loved the sample of this i got in a kit from christmas. so when i finished the trial size i bought the large jar of it but they changed the formula! now its all slimy and smells like old moldy carrot stew. yuck!
::update:: this makes a really great foot cream, i slathered a bunch on and put socks over it before bed. i have seriously never had softer feet, but its still too expensive for this purpose so i still wouldnt repurchase.

It doesn't do much, it just sits on the skin as a greasy film. I can't stand the smell and the waxy texture in the pot either.

It works well as a VERY CHEAP CONSEALER. I put it under the eyes, and the yellowness covers the black circles well. With this product, a little goes a looooooooong way!!!! If you put in anymore than a rice-size, it would be definitely too much. Both me and my boyfriend love the scent of this thing. In fact, this thing smells so delicious that it is constantly being kissed off!!! Buy it in sample size, though, since this thing is so incredibly concentrated. They should call this a serum.
