I guess I'm probably a bit of a mascara h00r ;) This is the one that I ALWAYS come back to -I love the dramatic, false lash look on a day to day basis w/out actually having to wear falsies and 2-3 coats of this gives me that look that I love. I own many high end mascaras, along with EVERY low end one but this is my 'ol faithful Lol! I've repurchased many times but prob.won't again since finding my Jordana Extreme Lash (HG status here ppl! ;D) &While this mascara is pretty great as well, my main issue is that this SMUDGES to heck & back on me :( &That's the only reason it gets 3 lippies out of 5 :( continued >>

Love this. I layer it over Clinique Lash Doubling mascara to boost the volume (I have pretty short, sparse lashes) and it works wonderfully. Only issue I have is that for about the first week of using this, the brush will pick up a lot of product, so you'll need to just scrape it off on the side of the tube until it has time to dry out slightly.

Got this a while ago on a trip after I heard it was good
Pros: Good thickening I guess
Cons: WAAAAY too much product comes out. I have to wipe and wipe and wipe it off on the tube and by the time I can actually be able to use it, my eyelashes have already uncurled, seriously. Clumpy I had to brush through them numerous times and still doesn't separate very well. This product is really overrated. Really. Don't buy it, I'll stick to full n soft.

WAND:
Something I especially like about the product is that it has a traditional bristle wand that isn't massive. I'm so over the 'bigger is better' notion that is going around in the mascara world. AND the bristles are stiff enough that they don't bend when they come in contact with your lashes. They are stiff enough that they give good separation and really get into your lashes.
FORMULA:
The formula is wetter than I prefer, but it's not bad. Because it is wetter, it's very easy to build several coats. I haven't noticed any kind of scent on the formula, either. The color is very rich, dark black. I've heard others say it makes the color of their eyes pop, but I can't say that it makes my eyes pop more than any other black mascara. In my experience, this mascara has no trouble holding a curl. I have found that it will flake a bit with too many layers or a long day. One to two coats, and it won't flake much.
CLUMPS:
As for being clump resistant; all mascaras claim to be clump resistant. This mascara will obviously clump at some point depending on how many coats YOU use, YOUR application technique, and how long you've had the product. My tube is fairly new. I usually apply 2-3 coats of mascara and haven't had any huge clumping issues.
RESULT:
I have found that this mascara gives me minimal length (it doesn't claim that it will lengthen your lashes). It does give an impressive amount of volume in very few coats. I'd recommend this for girls (or guys) who are satisfied with their natural length and just want to add volume.
OVERALL:
I really like this mascara. IT DOES WHAT IT CLAIMS TO DO, and that is hard to find. The price hard to beat at a little under $6. I bought it at Wal-Mart, but the price will vary with your location and store. I would recommend this, yes. But like I said, it doesn't give a substantial amount of length, so I wouldn't recommend this to someone who wants that in a mascara. I would buy this product, again.

A NOTE:
Some people recommend letting this mascara dry out a couple of weeks. I have done this, and I do think it performs better if you usually prefer a dryer formula.

I really don't like this mascara, it does nothing for me besides making them flat clumped spidery lashes that stick together. this is too much of a wet formula and it never dries for me! even during the day when i touch my lashes i see smudges on my finger tips. there is way too much product that comes out on the brush making it look glompy and clumps my lashes so bad when i apply and impossible not to make a mark on my lid. it completely destroys any curl i have after curling my lashes. grossest mascara ever, i'd choose falsies over this though both equally bad.

To all you mascara lovers I'd say this is a GREAT product! I am not someone who buys expensive makeup. I am a strictly drugstore/Walmart buyer that loves to try out the newest best products that's affordable. So to help anyone out that's thinking about trying this product here are my pros and cons! With products I love I like to start with the cons so we can finish with why I really like the product :)
Cons-
*You don't have to but I suggest washing off every night before you go to bed or you may wake up with racoon eyes and mascara on your pillow
*Biggest con is this product dries out quickly and will make your eye lashes look horrible if you try to use it any further and the brush becomes un useable!
Pros-
*Best drugstore mascara I've tried yet!
*Gives you a DRAMATIC long/thick false lash look (ive been asked what false lashes I use when wearing this product, and i do not wear false lashes)
*Product washes off very easily. I NEVER buy waterproof because waterproof is harder to get off and breaks your lashes! Product comes right off great with neutrogena face wipes in blue package (about $7 at any drugstore)
*Brush allows you to easily get in the corner of your lashes wich is a great plus, many mascaras lack this ability
*Gives you a gorgeous dark carbon black affect wich somehow brings out the color of your eyes
*Super affordable (about $7-8 at Walmart)
*Does NOT irritate my skin or eyes
*You can re-apply many times without it clumping/flaking (yet it last all day and night and there is no hassle of having to try to keep them looking great because it last)

OVERALL id say this is a fantastic buy and worth trying. Yet keep in mind everyone is different and different products work differently for everyone,so you may love it or hate it but for me I rate it four out of five and if it wasnt for drying out so quickly and the brush becoming un-usable id give it a five out of five!
Hope this review helped you find a fantastic buy!
GOOD LUCK <3

I like the L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara better than anything else I've tried. It just feels very comfortable, feels like home to me, like I've found "it". Does everything I want it to do - adds good length, blackens, no smudging or flaking, easy to apply, easy to remove. No more shopping around.

This is my HG mascara even though I always stray from it. I stray because although I do like that it makes my lashes noticeable and thick, I still long for something else... like length. I find it is a dark mascara, but it doesn't do wonders. However, it is better than other drugstore mascaras I have tried.

Ug, my mother bought this for me and at first I liked it. Honestly, it is good for those of you who seriously need volume in your eyelashes or who love spider lashes. Although I do love that it makes my lashes sooooooo long, it is way too clumpy and wet. I have to clean the brush every time because of all the product that comes on it. I don't think I'll buy this again.

I won't call this HG because I still have yet to find a mascara that makes my lashes amazing, but this is close enough. I love how dark it is and compared to the regular voluminous it is SO much darker which I love. Gives my short, stumpy lashes a good dose of volume and some length (not as much as I would like). In mascaras I look mainly for volume because I do have really sparse lashes, and this mascara performs really well in that regard. I do have to wipe off the brush on the edge of the tube before applying it or else it is a hot mess. That step is necessary to avoid clumping. It is a pain to remove, but it doesn't smudge on me throughout the day and for the price I really like this mascara. Kim ks mua and Carlene k (pussy cat dolls and Kristen cavallari's mua) swear by this. I see why!! Ive amped it up by layering it with maybelline the falsies and my lashes look fake. My baby sparse lashes look super dark and fake.. I never thought I would say that!!!
