The container is very cheap looking and unsanitary because it comes in a a plastic box/jar. The smell of the vaseline is not very appealing plus I find that it takes approximately 2 hours for the vaseline to evaporate or absorb. After it evaporates it does not moisturize at all. This is a very bad product and also gave me a big pimple on top of my lip. Hate this product with a eternal passion.

I find it amusing for some reason there are reviews for Vaseline on MUA :D anyyway I use this on my cuticles, my lips, my brows, my eyelashes. I've never used it on my bare skin because I'm afraid of it clogging pores. Usually I use the elf clear brow gel, but one day I used Vaseline instead when I ran out. It worked awesome, so when I'm running low I use that. I feel it locks in moisture on my cuticles and lips right after I apply lip balm (handy in the winter) but for my eyelashes: wow. They're so much longer and more conditioned, they don't fall out. I use a light cost on my top and bottom lashes at night, and excess on the clear mascara wand I put on my brows. My eyelashes look like I'm wearing mascara (a light coat, but nevertheless) now when I just curl my lashes. I don't even use it everyday, maybe every other. Great lash growth product, I haven't tried any 'official' formulas but as I research a good lash accelerator, I'm sticking to my Vaseline :)

A definite must have as it serves many purposes. I primarily use it on my lips, on occasions on my hands and heels and even on the skin close to the hairline when I used to dye my hair black blue so the dye would not stain my skin. I've also used this to take off Halloween make up one time and worked like a charm. I would love to use this as a face moisturizer but am concerned as I have sensitive skin and I know I will not be able to keep this on my face overnight as I toss and turn a lot at night. My pillowcase would get moisturized and not my face =/

BEST!! Always need to have the original petroleum jelly with me. If I ever need heavy duty moisturizer, this is the way to go.

Amazing product. I apply this above my moisturizer around my eyes, lips, and anywhere else that needs some TLC. It always softens and makes my skin feel so nice. It seems to give a nice glow to my face too. LOVE it!

Would I buy this product again? YES YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES.
Now that the shouting portion of this review is over, let's start with the reviewing.
I've never really used vaseline outside of a last-resort lip balm until about a month ago. I was dealing with dry patches in spite of applying tons of moisturizer, and I wanted something that wouldn't let my face feel all drawn and stretched in the morning.
I use my neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair night lotion shortly before going to bed as always, and apply a thin layer of vaseline over it. While the neutrogena lotion was doing an impressive job on my fine forehead and smile lines already, the vaseline seems to just turbocharge the effect, and I am sold.
It's been a month of daily use and I haven't broken out yet. No big pimples, no tiny bumps that linger under the skin- nothing. I also found that my skin seems more supple, and somehow thicker- like when I was a teenager.
The stickiness took some getting used to, and I have to make sure I keep my hair away from my face but it comes automatically now.
I loves it.

I love this, especially for the winter. My lips tend to get dry very often at random moments, so I use this for my lips most of the time. I also use this for around my nostrils/sides of my nose when I'm sick & in the winter when the sides of my nose get dry. This never breaks me out (knock on wood) & intensely moisturizes overnight without irritating my skin. I would reccommend using this overnight because this needs time to absorb to really sink into the problem areas of the skin. This has so many helpful uses. I've had the same jar of Vaseline for over 2 years now, & it still works perfectly. This is definitely a good, cheap investment. Petroleum Jelly has definitely been one of my most amazing finds that truly works long term. I am forever, a lifetime fan. & from reading some of the other reviews, I'm going to try using it as a brow gel & for my eyelashes to see how it works:) continued >>

Great for lips, hands, face, etc.

My nose area gets really dry around the nostrils and also get dry patch between my eyebrows so I use this at night and it really works..so cheap too!! DOES NOT CLOG!!! Promise!!

If your face is really dry then wash it with an aloe based cleanser (Body Shop!!) and then leave it damp and apply Vaseline Petroleum Jelly to your damp face as a mask and leave it for a few hours....!! :)
