Age: 25-29 Skin: Acne-prone, Olive, Not Sure Hair: Black, Other, Other Eyes: Black

I have always had very oily acne prone skin. Throughout my teenage I could never apply any moisturizer on my face without breaking out. I was so afraid of putting anything on my face that for years, I went without using any moisturizer. When I was 22, I got the worst cystic acne. Two years of trying every possible medication later, my dermatologist finally gave me something which cured my acne. When I was 24, I was left with dry scarred facial skin. Thats when I dared to try Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. And it changed my life! It feels like water on skin and gets absorbed very easily and does not leave behind any greasy feeling. Day after day, month after month, I started noticing drastic improvement on my face. It was like a miracle! I'm so thankful to this brand for creating such a life-saving product and I can say for sure, I will be using it for a very very long time!

Holy grail product! I have been using this for almost 8 years. Perfect for my dry/combo skin.

This IS first and formost my HG moisturizer. I have dry-combination, somewhat sensitive skin, that fits into the #2 category of the clinique system. Although I'm supposed to have the DDML, I got this instead a couple years ago. I used up my bottle and decided it wasn't moisturizing enough, and used my regular neutrogena moisturizer, but then I tried this again last winte when I bought the whole kit, and realized this moisturizer is really formulated to work after the toner to absorb better. I now absolutely LOVE THIS, because it's moisturizing, but then it also helps control the oil in my nose and chin really well. It can be a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it. I use 1 pump in the morning and 2 at night, and i still have about 1/4 of the bottle left from last November. Great value. Will always repurchase, and recommend for all except extremely dry skin types(:

This is my HG moisturizer! It controls my oily skin very well throughout the day but leaves my skin soft instead of sticky like most gels. The pump is amazing too.. I've never had any problems with the pump. And for an amazing product at 4 ounces for $25? SOLD! I'm still using mine from last Christmas and it's only halfway gone! I will never purchase any other moisturizer! If you have dry skin, shoot for the lotion form. It's VERY moisturizing, so if you have combo skin, get a sample to try cause it may be too much moisture for you. But the gel moisturizer is PERFECT for me and my oily skin!

This is round 2 for me and Clinique's DDMG, and needless to say, the LAST. I have combination oily skin and it does nothing to make Clinique proud or me happy. I would rate it 1, but it doesn't do anything particularly catastrophic.

It doesn't do what it should, in my opinion, which is: moisturize my skin without making it slick as a road following a grease-spill, doesn't help my skin feel and look supple, and doesn't in any way prep my skin so that the spots where I am most dry will take to my foundation well. Also, I get little tiny cluster spots of breakouts where my skin is most oily from the gel. I'm pretty disappointed, again. The first time I purchased it I bought it as part of the 3-step system at the Clinique counter at a department store. This time I bought the DDMG at the base at the makeup counter solo, and I definitely won't be buying it again. I'm not even sure if I'll be using it one last time.

I'm not sure why the ratings are so low for this product. I have acne prone combo skin so the ddml was bad news but I really like this product. This formula has more ingredients that are better for your skin compared to ddml's dated 1960s formula but could still use more antioxidents etc. and an opaque bottle to protect it from sunlight. I have tried a lot of moisturizers and I struggle to find ones that are light enough. My skin isn't as oily as it was when this product first launched and I initially purchased it, but I still don't like the feeling of heavy lotions on my face. Nothing out there is quite as light and has good for your skin ingredients. I have come across other similar products but upon examining the label they will have alcohol or other ingredients I don't want on my face. I'm not sure why, but it seems a lot of products for acne/oily/combo skin have alcohol and that is just going to irritate the acne and dry out your skin. Not only will your skin then produce more oil and compensate, but the irritation can stimulate the nerve endings in your skin which can also cause it to product more alcohol. (I know, it sounds far fetched but I swear I'm not making it up!!!) I will say though that most of the time I don't have dry patches so if your skin is really dry, this probably won't do it but ten again it isn't designed for that skin type anyway.

The bottom line is that I can't find anything as light that absorbs into my skin. I think if you're looking for anything more than a light very moisturizer, this product is not for you.

I brought this product along with the step 3 toner because its supposed to be created for oily skin but it didn't work out for me. Minutes after apply the gel my skin will look oily. It doesnt have spf which sucks.

Before this I was using the DDML, cause my skin was super dry due to the eczema i have. But recently after getting acne from HadaLabo Arbutin products, my skin has gone bonkers and it's dry but oily (dehydrated). So I've switched my cleanser from extra mild to mild, and DDML to DDMG. So far, I'm loving it. using it for about a week plus now and Clinique's moisturizers are the only ones that could moisturize my skin without making me greasy at the end of the day or when i wake up in the morning. So far no new breakouts after using this. The only thing is that it's much more expensive here in Malaysia compared to the US. It retails here for RM170 for 125ml. That's almost $60. It's insane...

Overall, this is my go-to moisturizer for my ridiculously oily skin. After washing my face, and applying toner, I use one pump all over--including my neck--and enjoy the oil-free formula as it glides over my face, and doubles as a make-up primer. Surprisingly, it has not broken me out at all, and due to its' gel consistency, it does not contribute to any EXTRA oil production; that's always nice. I have to say, I have searched high and low for a decent moisturizer, and this is the one I plan on sticking with for a very long time--because admit it, trying new products is scary; you face the possibility of breaking out, having an allergic reaction, or just not being pleased with the results. Go in to a rep, test it out, and see what happens: it doesn't hurt to try!

I used to use this product a while ago and I loved it and recently I purchased it again and then I realized why I hadn't gotten it in a while was because it makes me break out! I eat pretty healthy so I know it's not that but I have been using it everyday and it makes me break out. It moisturizes my face well but I don't like these pimples :(
