I am a mascara junkie, and this has to be the BEST MASCARA this world has ever seen. I'm an advocate of trying new products but I simply refuse to use any other mascara but this one. I usually apply 2 layers and my lashes are hitting my eyebrows (keep in mind my eyelashes are not long). I just love it. Yes, it's a little pricey, but well worth it ladies :)
This is the best mascara ever! When I curl my eyelashes and then use this (2 layers), it looks like I have false lashes on, simply divine!
The product doesn't come off easily (it's a good and bad thing I guess), even when I use Lancome's own Bi-Facil eye make up remover, it still doesn't come off easily. It doesn't dry my lashes, doesn't clump and it's easy to build volume with.
I think the cheaper mascara that does the same thing would be Lash Architect by L'Oreal.

Not worth it! Terribly messy and clumpy! It does give quite dramatic lashes, but you have to be careful with it.
I love this mascara. It is quite the splurge but I have yet to find another that does the trick quite like this one. I've tried DiorShow and tend to prefer this one...for some reason it feels like DiorShow dries out quicker, but I'm not sure. This does a great job of separating lashes, has buildable volume (I have length, but need to enhance thickness) and after a couple of uses has the right texture and doesn't dry too quickly or slowly. I know other reviewers have complained about clumping and a spidery look but I don't find that's the case with me for some reason. I just need to be careful to make sure I apply additional coats while still wet. My only complaint is an odd one: the brush grabs each last almost TOO much. This takes the curl out of my lashes and I generally have to gently re-curl them after applying, but I only bother doing this if I'm going out, not for work everyday. Two coats will do for a regular working day, and three or four for a sexy going-out look. Have already repurchased twice.

I really don't quite know if I like or dislike this mascara. It provides great volume and length while separating the lashes and fanning them out. didn't really notice much of a curling effect, but that's not really something i worry about considering my lashes are naturally curled.
the first few times i used this mascara, i seriously hated it. i considered returning it because it was so clumpy! the formula was so wet and goopy, i really don't know what other word to use. lol! anyway, it put it on and it was like i had ten super thick triangle shaped lashes, if you know what i mean. i really had to break this mascara in before it started working the way i wanted it to, which is honestly something i feel like i shouldn't have to do with makeup. it also flakes like crazy! wow! i have never had a mascara flake so badly in my life, not even the 5 dollar drugstore brands i've tried out. and it also smudges under the eyes a lot.
i am really on the fence about this product. i love it, but i hate it at the same time. not really sure if i would purchase it again because i love the way it looks when it's broken in. just don't like the flaking and smudging.
Great mascara! I have had mine for about a month and I have not yet experienced any clumping or flaking. It definitely gives great volume if you have long thin lashes... does at some length as well

Overpriced, overpriced, and did I say overpriced? Freaking overpriced crap. Lancome has the same hits and misses like L'Oreal does, but at least if I purchased a horrible L'Oreal mascara, I won't be wasting $26. Hypnose is supposed to offer volume found in false lashes. If you have itty bitty thin lashes, this is supposed to thicken them massively. Oh, apparently there's some vitamin B5 in there, too. You know, just for good measure... or marketing.
I got this for volume. Did I get volume? No. It didn't do anything amazing. It didn't make my eyelashes become the envy to every falsies wearer. It picks up a lot of product on the wand, I mean, a smudge-risking bunch of it. It sometimes clumps, too. It doesn't hold curls, either. Sheesh, the reviews on Sephora raved so much about this, and make up snobs swear by this, I expected this to be the queen of all mascaras. Maybe it's partially my fault. Maybe I shouldn't have had such high hopes. Still, I can't help to feel jaded.
Listen, I'm a mascara junkie. I'm always looking for the perfect one. So far, all the perfect mascaras I've found are unheard of drug store ones. Paying less than $8 for mascaras that make my eyes shine and my lashes long and voluminous vs. overrated $26 worth (which the money is more for the pretty packaging and brand name) mascara that performs so mediocre to almost below average? Everybody, I mean, EVERYBODY can find cheap, good working mascaras that suit their lashes perfectly. It's all about smart shopping and knowledge on wands and formulas that suit you. Unfortunately, I was a bit too excited and miscalculated the bristles on the wands to be something to fit me and I didn't expect the formula to be so... unnecessarily thick.
Never again, though. Never again.

I love that it seperated my lashes and doesn't clump.
But it doesn't really hold a curl that well but my lashes still look nice.
I put another mascara over it and it looks amazing.
I just bought this mascara a few days ago and have used it 3 times so far. Ok so here's what I really like: it is unusually creamy for a mascara which makes me feel like it's not damaging my eyelashes which i love! Also I really like the wand, and it does make lashes look pretty and soft. You can just tell by looking at the lashes that they look moisturized and healthy and super pretty. I kind of feel as though it emphasizes length rather than volume which is not exactly what I what I want (I already have long lashes). But there is zero flakiness and I still absolutely love this mascara, just is it worth $31?
Cons: You have to layer on for it to look voluminous (but then again you always do for mascaras--I guess I just expected magic in a tube). I feel like I have been able to build just as much maybe more volume with my l'oreal voluminous mascara (my HG mascara). The price is waaaaay too steep that I've decided I will only use this for special occasions. That is the reason I will not repurchase unless I have excess money lying around (lol) because it's just way too expensive. If it wasn't for the price though, I WOULD purchase this when it runs out instead of my l'oreal voluminous only because they deliver the same results except lancome is so creamy and almost moisturizing :)
