This is my favourite conditioner and I just wanna write this review for beginners.
When you're new to this product, you need to understand its versatility to bring the best result for yourself.
So, FIRST, it can be both daily rinse-out conditioner AND weekly treatment.
SECOND, you can leave it in your hair cuz it absorbs really well. That means, even after heavy treatment using wet towl and shower cap, you don;t need to wash it. If you can't wait until it naturally dries, go ahead blow-dry it, but still, don't need to rinse it off.
THIRD, you can actually apply it to dry hair like hair serums! I guess that's important for anyone with oilier scalp with drier hari, or those with long hair.
after i read good reviews, i tried but i decide not to buy this again.
at first , i was disappointed with it, because it seemed doing nothing on my hair, but more i use this, i feel this makes my hair calm and soft just as much as i need.
but one think i don't like about it..i perm my hair recently and it makes my pretty curling hair's style loose. my wave almost disappear after i used this. and it's little bit expesive compared with what it delivers.
so i give 4 lippies
I really like this conditioner. I typically have oily roots and wavy hair that tends to lose its volume by midday, but this was a very pleasant surprise. Even though it's a balm it is a fantastic conditioner, leaves my ends really glossy and soft, and the rest of my hair still hydrated and weightless, which is amazing when I typically have to use 2 conditioners- a heavier one to treat the ends and a light detangler for the rest of my hair. I'm really happy with this and will continue to repurchase.
I’m hugely disappointed with this. I have bought this conditioner after having read the good reviews, hoping to find something really moisturizing without silicones. Now let me say that, beside of not having any silicones, this conditioner is a mix of basic chemicals peppered with a hint of algae extracts in order to justify the natural claims, but in such a few amount that they can’t be able to do anything for your hair. And this is exactly what this conditioner does: nothing. It is not good for detangling, it doesn’t smell particularly good, doesn’t moisturize, doesn’t tame frizz, doesn’t smooth at all.
Maybe the only thing it does is to give some volume. Good for fine, slightly dry hair but definitely NOT for damaged, processed, dehydrated hair as it claims. Waste of money.

Awesome stuff! Great for my long, fine blonde hair. Makes my hair soft, easy to comb and with tons of body and shine. Smells amazing. Even on humid days, my hair is not slimy or heavy.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS CONDITIONER. It's *crazy* moisturizing on my thick, dry, wavy hair, and that's pretty tough to find in a silicone-free conditioner. Those with fine hair may find it to be too heavy, but it's a *dream* on thick and thirsty hair. My hair seems to just drink this up. What I love about this conditioner is its versatility. It's awesome as a rinse-out, and a smidgen of it works well as a leave in. I also use this with a microwaved towel for a deep treatment and that works great as well. Will definitely repurchase. Note: If you're strapped for cash, Sally's does have a GVP dupe of this and it works similarly.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a review for Generic Value Products Conditioning Balm, *not* the actual Matrix/Biolage Conditioning Balm.
That being said, let me just say, the GVP CB is hands down, t-h-e best conditioner that has ever been created on the face of this earth! The two most important things to me in a hair conditioner are 1) silicone-free ingredients, and 2) its ability to detangle my thin yet abundant, fragile, semi-dry, 2A/B hair (which, by the way, tangles like MAD!) GVP CB does the trick. I have gone through several bottles of this stuff, and I'll continue to repurchase as long as they keep making it!
Another major plus with this conditioner? It's one of the best leave-in conditioners I've ever used! I apply a nickel sized amount to my collarbone-length hair, and -- whaddya know -- it detangles wonderfully! The comb gllliiiddes right through my hair. My hair stays pretty much tangle-free through blow drying, too. Once my hair is dry, it's silky soft and shiny, and smells nice too.

This product is very thick and moisturizing. I love using it as a mask and also for after using a protein treatment. It has revived moisture for my bleached brittle hair. I will repurchase.

When I was 15, I had my hair trimmed at a local salon, and the stylist used Biolage. I never wanted to use another hair product ever again. The smell is intoxicating and leaves my hair soft and silky smooth. I usually switch between this and Redken. I've been using this product for years and highly recommend it.
