I have personally never used this product, simply because I know it is too harsh and rough to wear on the skin. You can feel the harshness of the exfoliating beads simply by putting it on your skin.

DO NOT apply this to the face, especially not on any active breakouts. You will damage the skin and cause scarring.

The medical and dermatological concept for treating acne is effective but gentle. Sadly, this scrub does not meet any criteria as an exfoliator.

This product has been in my life off and on since I was a child. Overall, I like it. You have to be careful and use it only once or twice a week (on your face). Like others have mentioned, it is best to use it in the shower. I've tried other scrubs (most cost a lot more than this) and nothing can compare when it comes to leaving my face smooth.

This is also great as a body scrub. I like to use it on my elbows, knees, and feet. Also, I like the pleasant fragrance.

I use it only if I begin it see dry flaky skin on my face, which is rare because I have oily skin but it does happen sometimes. When it does happen I use it once or twice a week until the dry skin is gone. It is too rough on the skin that is on my face, so I don't use it often. Instead I use it for my body twice a week, it leaves the skin feeling amazing!

i like this as an occasional exfoliant but frequent use broke me out. if you have sensitive skin i would recommend not using this product more than once a week or every two weeks even.

HG face scrub, hands down. I've been using this for years and its been a staple ever since, especially because I looove to wear makeup. I've got extremely fair, sensitive skin and put lots of stuff on my face for the day (primer, foundation, powder, etc.) And this gets rid of it all! The key is to use only a little bit and wet your hands before you scrub GENTLY. Otherwise it's far too harsh. Ever since I've used this I NEVER break out, I feel fresh, my skin is glowing and I get compliments on it at least once a day. Definitely give this a try!

I used to think this was great when I was just getting into skin care in my teens and dealing with breakouts and oily skin. I think it's way too harsh for anyone to use on their face.
I recently bought it during a trip to the States because I was looking for a cheap scrub. It's wayyy too fragranced and the walnut particles are really harsh. Maybe if the creamy part of the scrub was more moisturizing or emollient I wouldn't have had such a problem. I will say though, that it's good to get off really heavy foundation and makeup or when your face just feels dirty and oily (say, during a humid summer). But this is not my first choice for that.
I ended up using it on my legs in the shower because if I used it anywhere else it just left me a bit raw. Even on my thick-skinned legs I didn't like it that much because there was salicylic acid in it and it tingled a bit too much even there, especially on my thighs. It ended up in the trash.

Often scrubs can cause more problems than they can possibly solve..... and this scrub is one of them. This has been around for years, probably the original face scrub so EVERBODY had it.I first used this about thirty years ago, but I was young then and didn't know much about skin care.I was in my local supermarket and they had this on at half price so for old times sake I bought a tube.Big mistake. The first thing that hit me was the smell. Overpowering, fragrance is not skin care. Then there's the walnut shells, far too rough, can tear skin.I will use this up as a body scrub but this will never touch my face again. I cringe to think I used this for so long.Chemical exfoliation is a much better method for mature skins(or any skin for that matter) but if you must use a scrub try something like cliniques 7 day, certainly not this one.

I used this for years and years when I was young and getting into products and never saw any sort of hard side effect. My skin is and always has been very sensitive and this was not too much for my face. I haven't used this in quite some time, but I would not mind trying it again.
