I first purchased this in a 3 for 2 offer at boots after hearing about its mixed reviews and just though why not. This product is a miracle in a stick! I have the most horrendous dark circles every morning for school but I just whip this out of my makeup bag and blend it in and bam! I am ready to go out the door. In the morning all I use is this, some translucent powder and then some blush and lipbalm. Thats all I do for school as we are not allowed any makeup so this is very natural and you cannot tell I have it on unless I actually tell you. I use this on my browbone sometimes and it helps just to completely brighten my eye area. I LOVE THIS!

I needed a concealer for my dark "circles" (they're more like streaks) under my eyes & so I heard that this has some good reviews so I thought I'd try it. I bought two, one in Ivory & the other in Nude Chair. Nude chair was waaaaaay too light. It showed my dark "circles" more than it had covered it & the Ivory wasn't as bad but it was still very noticeable. I was very disappointed in how much it stood out. Maybe I just need to get a darker color but seeing how many people get a shade lighter, I thought that was what I was supposed to do. Maybe not. Maybe I'll get a shade darker & my review will change.
The packaging sucks though. It took me almost like 30 clicks for the first one to get anything out. I noticed though in the second one I tried, there was a gap where I can see inside the tube & there was like NO product there. I kept twisting it until the product covered up the clearing but I really don't like that I had to click it what seemed like a bajillion times before anything even came out. continued >>

This is seriously one of my favorite concealers. I have seriously tried 90% of drugstore concealers and this is by far the best one. Its a liquid concealer but its also creamy and easy to blend. It brightens the under eye area beautifully. I think I might like this concealer better than my MAC Select Coverup concealer. Its that amazing! You won't regret buying this!

I was so excited to try this concealer after seeing several YouTube videos raving about it and reading the great MUA reviews. Unfortunately, this concealer does not live up to the hype. While it does provide good coverage I find that the formula is quite dry and difficult to blend and can sometimes look cakey. I also hate the click pen, which I think exacerbates the dryness issue. For those reasons I would not repurchase.
I really like this to conceal under my eyes and cover acne, as long as I set with powder. As a highlighter, I'd pass. Will repurchase.

I have heard great things about this concealer, so I decided to go out and buy it. I was super disappointed. I love Maybelline as a brand, and trusted the reviews but I was let down. This product is hard to blend, looks cakey and doesn't highlight at all. It took me 10 minutes at least to get the first bit of product out when I bought it. The brush tip feels rough and harsh on my skin. I will not be repurchasing this.

Packaging:
Comes in a click pen similar to YSL Touche Eclat. I highly dislike this type of packaging and promptly decanted it after a few uses. When using it in its purchased packaging I found that it was starting to go on a bit dry/cakey due to concealer on the brush drying out even when properly closed. Decanting also resulted in using less product overall. The pen has a soft brush applicator which feels and works nicely but will be a pain to wash if this is a concern for you, as it builds up a LOT of concealer. I've read a few complaints about the concealer going on dry after a month or so and this pen design could very well be the reason: product collecting and drying out in the cap. The pen needs a lot of clicking before product dispenses, which usually leads to excess release of product. The container has a clear area to show you how much product is left. The name of the colour is on the bottom of the pen.
Formula:
It comes in 6 shades, although availability of each shade will be different for different regions; I've only been able to find 3-4 shades at my local drug stores. It claims to be a gel formula but I'd say that it's more like a dry liquid. It sets and dries relatively quickly so it's better to use a quick hand for application unless applying over an emollient area of the skin. It's thin but not in any way runny. It maybe offers some illumination but overall it's more of a sheen to the skin which helps to create any light-catching illusions, which might be lost when set with powder. It offers light coverage, possibly medium if built up, but one must be cautious with building up as it can look cakey with too much being applied.
Performance:
It offers a slight illuminating effect, but it's really more of a sheen/dewy finish. I purchased this in both Radiant and Ivory, neither of which suited my colouring. Ivory was a bit too orangey and light while Radiant was too dark and pink; I'd recommend the latter to those with medium to tan complexions looking for brightening but not for concealing. Concealing and highlighting were both on the subtle side without creating any glitteriness to the skin. It did however remain at a dewy finish once left to dry (not set with powder) which I felt drew a bit more attention to my undereye area. My undereye area is not too dark but I was unable to really layer with either colour (mixing both shades also did not help enough to allow for more layering without the colour looking off against my uncovered skin) without it looking dry and cakey under my eyes. With a light hand though it did look fine. It doesn't seem to settle in lines unless too much was applied or I blended it in poorly. It sets fairly dry to the touch without any real tackiness or transfer to my fingers without powdering. The consistency of this concealer requires that it be applied to makeup-free skin (clean or well moisturized) otherwise it will look thick and cakey and dry, even in small amounts. So overall, it's not a very forgiving product. It held up very well though throughout the day without powdering or priming.
Bang for Your Buck:
Cost about $10CAD on sale, normal price closer to $12CAD, for 1.5ml/0.05z at London Drugs/Shoppers. This is not that expensive as an up-front payment but for the amount given I feel that it's over-priced. I'd urge Maybelline to either greatly reduce the price or greatly increase the product amount.
Final Thoughts:
I wish I liked this more than I do, as I had higher expectations. While it's not perfect I do see its potential, but the formula is just a bit too dry for my liking and the colour selection just does not work for me.

I really liked this concealer! It really covered my under eyes circles very well and it also covered my blemishes. It does a very good highlighting job, and it lasts almost the whole day. I found this concealer amazing, and I'm totally gonna buy it again, but I have to say I was really disappointed with the amount of product. No joke, I bought it 3 weeks ago, and I've used it al up. (and in a moderate amount).
Besides this, it is a very good product.
I like this product way more than I was expecting to, to be honest. I have moderate-dark undereye circles, and most concealers either cake up/oxidise/crease on me, usually without even providing that much coverage. I do have a corrector and concealer that I like, but sometimes I feel like they're a little too heavy to wear every day. This concealer does a pretty good job of neutralising and highlighting my undereye area, doesn't crease and gives okay coverage (definitely doesn't cancel the darkness out, but makes it a little less noticeable). I don't wear this everyday, but it's nice to have the option for when I feel like wearing less concealer.
The colour (fair) is just okay for under my eyes - like all Maybelline products it borders on slightly too pinky/orange, but as long as I don't layer too much it's fine.
However, the thing I LOVE this product for is highlighting the bridge of my nose and concealing any redness I have around my nose. It doesn't cake, and it covers that redness beautifully!
I personally don't mind the packaging: I feel with the clicky pen you have a certain amount of control over the product you apply. Like everyone else, I wish it came with more product, but there's not much we can do about that, sadly.
So, overall: for undereyes it gives an alright natural highlighting coverage. For redness/around the nose, it's amazing! 'Nuff said. :)
