I am absolutely in love with this product!! In the past, I have tried a lot of exfoliators. The problem that I found with them all was that they all had a large amount of soap in them that would dry out my skin and make my face look and feel even more dry. But with the Ocean Salt scrub, there is snow soap, it does work into a light lather, but it is hardly noticeable. The scent is mild and not over powering, which is good for those with sensitive skin.
It is expensive (around $30) but you do get a lot of product and it took me about 6 months of using it every other day on my face to use it up.
My friend who has oily, acne prone skin also loves this product! So it is good for all different skin types. We are both on our second jar of it, if they ever discontinue it, I don't know what I will do!
My favourite scub. I use it as clenser in the shower in the morning. At first the thickness and size of the sea salt is scary but it's not that harsh on the skin and the sea salt melts and moisturizes the skin. Will for sure repurchase over and over again. Just hope they don't discontinue. And one last advice order from the UK site it's much cheaper.

Ocean Salt felt AMAZING on my skin. Just the right amount of "nitty gritty", and the smell was SO like a margarita! My skin felt incredibly soft after, and it really opened up my pores and got all the gunk out. I use this puppy every other day to polish and renew my skin. The first time I ordered Ocean Salt, it wasn't bright blue like in the catalog, and this second time it's a little more blue, but definitely not like they advertise. Just so you know.
This product is amazing! I have combination skin and this is the only scrub I have found that actually gives me great results!
I use this maybe two or three times a week and use warm water. You only need a little bit and I am very gentle with this, since it has the coarse sea salt in there. It washes off easily, leaving you with clean and soft skin. Also, it does an awesome job of getting rid of the black heads around my nose and chin. No cleanser, gel, mask or scrub has ever been able to do that for me.
It's such a good purchase and I definitely will be buying this again and again!!
Being a medical aesthetician, I agree with the below. However, if you have thick skin and use this in the shower with lots of water and use a press and roll motion then you'll be fine. Definitely don't rub it in vigorously or your face will be super red and feel raw. I love this stuff, I use it mostly on my body and find it helps with my minor breakouts on my chest and back. I just put the scrub on breakouts on my face and gently rub while in the shower to help dry up the pimples and it works great. The odd time I do use ion m face, I follow with a soothing mask and almond oil as it will dry you out. It smells really nice and I love the pot it comes in. I don't like anything else from lush so that should tell ou something about this product. My only issue wih this product is that it's expensive. If you're unsure about it, ask for a sample.
It is literally ocean salt and I love it! I love the smell and you can sort of taste it sometimes and I love that too! But anyways, my skin feels smooth and hydrated father I use this but this effect doesn't last long. If I touch m,y face 20 minutes later, it feels cleaner but just a little less dry. But I will be repurchasing!
Quite pricey, but I believe its worth it. Its a really nice exfoliator that wont make my skin dry or irritated in any way. It makes my skin glow and feel so smooth and radiant! plus I love the smell. Gets the dead skin cells, dirt and oil right off just like its supposed to. Another great LUSH product if you ask me!

I have always wanted to try out this product since I heard lots of good reviews on it. However, I'm really disappointed, and let me tell you why:
I got this product about a month ago as a birthday present. It was the small container (120g for $20) which I find really expensive. I find that this smells like some kind of ointment that my grandpa uses... it's a really weird smell. The first time I used this, it tingled a little bit (as I sort of expected) but that went away. I went on using this twice a week (btw, I have combination skin that is a little bit sensitive. I had noticed that lately with scrubs it hadn't been reacting as badly, so that's why I decided to try this). However, all of a sudden a couple of days ago when I used this, my skin started itching like crazy! It still is, and is red in some areas. I haven't been using any new face products, and the itching happened immediately after I used this. I was so surprised, and am puzzled to why this is only happening now. Most lush products, including Buffy, which is known to be super abrassive, don't cause any irriation to my fairly sensitive skin. I warn you all to ask for a sample of this before buying it. Even if you have skin that is just a little bit sensitive, don't risk it.
I wish that I could try to get a refund, but since this product is over halfway gone (did I forget to mention that this hardly even lasts?) so I don't think I'd be able to. So disappointed (but glad I didn't buy this myself).
I always thought I had sensitive skin, apparently not sensitive enough for this product. The huge grains do hurt a little at first, but after a few uses I found it didn't hurt nearly as much as it did at first. It left my skin feeling rather nice and soft.
It is pretty messy, especially the large salt chunks, but salt dissolves pretty fast so it's easy to clean up. I found it difficult to use in the shower as the moisture in the air causes the salt to dissolve, so you lose the 'scrub' pretty quick.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with this. It hasn't made my skin any worse, which is always a plus.
Edit: Two things. I've noticed a lot of people complain about how it stings if it gets in your eyes or open wounds. Of course it's going to hurt, the ingredients are sea salt, lime juice and vodka. Read: Salt, acid and alcohol. It's a bit of a 'Duh' moment.
Also, I bought the largest tub I could, and it's probably the most short-lived lush product I've ever bought. I've almost finished the tub, and it's only been two months or so. Not looking forward to forking out another $35 for another one.
