This is my favourite foundation of all time. I feel like I have tried every foundation in Sephora (Lancome, Clarins, MUFE, Stila, Becca, ESL, Korres, Kat Von D, Laura Mercier ... you name it ... I’ve tried it. And I honestly keep going back to Revlon's Colourstay! This foundation is amazing esp for the price ($17 CAN). I'd honestly even pay the likes of Laura Mercier for this foundation. I have combination-dry skin right now (since it’s the winter and freezing here in Canada) but normally combination-oily during the summer months. I tend to have a new pimple or pimples daily UGH. My face also tends to get quite red yet I have a tad bit of a yellow under tone. Normally I am an NC15-NC20 and I wear Buff 150 in the Colourstay. This foundation I find doesn't accentuate my dry spots and continues to cover my blemishes and red skin. I do find it oxidizes just a tad ... test it and check again in ten minutes and that's the colour it will stay. Lately with some foundations, I’m finding they oxidize way too pink or orange (Lancome). Also the long wearing foundations (ESL) I find is so cakey and leaves a tight feeling on my face. I would compare this foundation to ESL but much easier to correct and doesn’t feel like I just painted my face. I found when using ESL if I had a streak and tried to fix it … I was screwed but this foundation you can actually correct things without having to redo your whole face again. I apply this after my moisturizer and use a foundation brush and go in circles and have no probs. Revlon does dry quickly and has excellent staying powder!

If you feel you have tried many foundation that keep oxidizing, (is it me or is every fair/light shade ivory which = PINK? Lol so frustrating) not long lasting, makeup separating, accentuating dry spots/blemishes … then give this a go … you may end up ditching those high end foundations for a drugstore brand … I did!!!

Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation is the best thing for my skin. I bought it after reading all the marvelleous reviews and hearing great recommendations from friends that have the same skin issues as I do. I use the one for combination/oily skin and it does for me everything I need a foundation to do. It mattifies my skin, covers the redness and the irregularities, it is non-comedogenic, and lasts a long time. To be honest, I wouldn't say it lasts for 24 hours (like it says on the bottle). In my experience, on the warmest and sweatiest day, it kept my face matte and flawless-looking for about 10 hours, which is quite enough for me. It has great coverage, it doesn't cake my face up and it really does make my complexion look flawless sometime (on a good day, because I do get acne, and when you have small bulges on your face, there's not much you can do to cover those). Also, when taking it off, be sure to take everything off - it really clings to your face even when you don't want it there anymore :) I recommend soaking your face in warm water to melt it a bit and then washing it off with whatever you use for your face. Another one of the perks is that the expiration date is two years after opening, so even if you don't use it as often, yu can still use it up before the date! As for the packaging, I don't find it a problem as most others do. I just tilt the bottle on the back of my hand and use it without any problems.
I do feel that it may be a bit heavy on the skin sometime, so if I need light coverage or if there is no need to have perfect makeup for more than a couple of hours, I use something that's lighter on my face.
In conclusion, I heartily recommend this product to everyone, and especially to those with oily and acne prone skin. This foundation is, in my opinion, a must-have for every make-up lover and "knower".

This is my holy grail foundation!! I adore it. It gives great coverage and by midday I'm not oily, and you can't see much of a shine. My only downside, there's no pump. So getting the product actually is a pain in the butt and can be quite messy if not handled correctly. The smell is tolerable. To me it smells just like paint. It's very build-able. My go ahead if your combo oily, it's a heavy foundation. I wouldn't recommend it if you want a light coverage.

I picked this up in Boots in the UK, for £12.50 and no pump this foundation is a load of crap since it seems all the yellow undertone shades are unavailable in the UK. Or is it just me ? I got matched to true beige when i should really be around a golden biege, the sales assistant at boots was adamant it was a perfect match and i should have dug my heels in but instead i caved and bought it..l and soon as i got home and tried it on in my window mirror, the ashiness just took me back to the days where I wore dream matte mousse at school - in a colour which made people ask me why my face looked grey. Yuck. Probably wouldnt try this again even IF i got given the proper match.

Horrible. I bought this foundation reading all the great reviews here and totally regret it. The colour selection is just awful! There were like 5 shades to choose from. I chose the second darkest and when I applied at home there was the biggest colour difference between my dace and neck ever. The darkest shade is too dark for me. I can't even comment on the other aspects of this foundation because I just took it off and applied my MUFE hd one.

I bought this foundation as I wanted something to suite my combination/oily skin and I quite like it. I found that it gives a full coverage but it can be borderline cakey so I spend time making sure it is well blended even though the blending has to be done quite fasts since it sets quickly. I find that with this foundation I don't need to powder which I like. As time passes I can feel that oil amount is controlled and I don't need to blot. One thing I don't like is that its consistency is quite thick and for the hotter seasons I would prefer something a bit lighter even though the coverage is amazing.

I've tried this foundation out at least 3 separate times now, and each of those periods combined probably equates to a few months of use. I'm always convinced I'm doing something wrong because everyone else loves it! But I've come to accept that it's just not for me.

The main issue for me is that Colorstay is too thick and sets too quickly for me to effectively work with it. Anytime I've tried using it straight, my foundation looks cakey and gross. For a period of time, I would mix this with Revlon PhotoReady to get a better consistency. Then I started putting it on straight out of the shower, after moisturizing, while my skin was still damp. Then I tried mixing my moisturizer straight into it. Each of these methods helped, but required a lot of work and I didn't always get good results. It just wasn't worth it to me in the end.

I did love that this foundation stayed on ALL day, looking perfectly intact by the evening, while keeping my oil in check. However, it would cling so firmly to my skin that it was always a hassle to remove, and was causing me to frequently breakout. Some days it would look flawless, other days it would look really bad. I could never get consistently positive results. I really hate that it lacks a pump, too. I have wasted a ton of product from frequently getting more product out of the bottle than intended. All in all, the cons outweigh the pros for me.

i think it a fine foudation for long wear
the new 24 hour is really great , no smell , doesn't dry as fast as the old version, but the cover is not as good as i think it would be

I bought the Oily/Combination foundation. I used this with the POREfessional primer and cfxmatte setting powder and it STILL wouldnt stay on for more than 3 hours! My nose gets very oily and this foundation just couldnt stay on. Plus, this foundation is kinda over priced for a drugstore foundation.

Oh woww, what happened to this foundation? I used to use it a few months ago and i'm pretty sure it was fine, so after months of trailing around trying to find a decent foundation (which I still haven't found :'() I decided to give up and go back to one i'd already tried that was decent. Well, I don't know if this is my mistake or not, but I purchased the combo/oily skin one. I have dry-combo skin so I was thinking this one would be perfect, but recently my skin's dried out drastically.
It was a total nightmare on my face. A disaster to blend, even after spending 10 mins vigorously blending and blending, you could still see streaks, even after doing bits of my face separately. It looked utterly revolting - EVERY single dry patch was like accentuated, it wasn't even...why? :( why why why.
Also, the packaging - why no pump?! the smell wasn't too bad, but it definitely wasn't pleasing/nice - it smelt a bit paint-like? or is that just me?
I hate doing negative reviews sooo much but I am so disappointed. :( The search for my HG foundation continues.
