My lashes are pretty long to begin with, but I was intrigued by the new two brush concept so I went out and bought the Haute & Naughty to try. The color is a rich inky black which I loove. The packaging is cute too with the glittery purple and hot pink ends. This mascara didn't give me much length when I used the pink wand, but did volumize my lashes when I used the purple wand. The formula turned out to be very wet, and it took a while to dry and I found that it easily smudged onto my lids as I was waiting for it to dry. Also, I don't think it holds curl very well. I never ever curl my lashes after applying mascara as doing so breaks and damages your lashes, so an HG mascara has to hold curl for me. I wouldn't buy again since it is expensive and I don't really need the lengthening part of it. I'll stick with my Maybelline Falsies Mascara for now until I find one that trumps it.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this mascara! I was a little skeptical because i normally dont like MAC mascara's. This stuff is fabulous! I use the fat brush first, and it doesnt take much to coat your lashes, a few swipes with the wand and you have deep dark black thick lashes, i love a dramatic lash so this stuff is great for that. Once i get my lashes to my desired thickeness i use the pink handled wand and its a less dense brush and i use it to define and seperate my lashes. I love this stuff! Way to go MAC!
I've never really been that fond of MAC's mascara, but I decided to give this a try. I asked the girl at the counter what she thought of it, and she said that she would recommend it over the other products available. When I first started using it, I was pleasantly surprised with the results -- it does make your lashes look thicker and longer, and the smaller part of the brush is perfect for lower lashes. I didn't have a problem with smudging or flaking, but it was a little difficult to remove completely every night. The only real complaint I have is with the brush -- after a while (and really only after the product was nearly gone anyway) the brush would clump up or lay completely flat. Despite this, I think I would repurchase, and I do recommend it to anyone searching for a new mascara.
Despite not being on the list of things I swear by (I think my preference for this mascara greatly relies on the fact that I haven't found anything better) this mascara does what it says and it does it well. The haute brush defines my lashes nicely and make them look like I actually wake up looking like this. The naughty brush doesn't volumise my lashes as much as I'd like, to be frank it only gives a slight thickness compared to the haute brush. Although I very much like the fancy packaging. I'm really bummed that it's not waterproof though, since I live near the beach so this product is a bit useless for me most of the time. I will however continue to restock this until I find a better mascara.
I tried this out because I didn't feel like buying MUFE smoky lash as i wanted to try something cheaper. I am not impressed by this mascara only good thing about this product is the packaging. I find that it clumps my eyelashes and it doesn't lenghten like it claims to do. Will not repurchase can not wait till it dries to so I can get a new mascara
I didn't realise how amazing this mascara was until yesterday. I have had it or maybe 2 months now and really liked it from the start. However in the rush of Monday morning, after a weekend away, I had misplaced my make up bag. I quickly just grabbed my flat mates Colossal By Maybelline. Having used nothing but the Haute and Naughty for so long I was appalled at the Colossal and have a new admiration for my Haute and Naughty. I know A few years ago MAC didn't have the greatest mascara reputation but they have really lifted their game recently. Everyone uses this differently but I usually swipe on a heap with the big filter and get everything all coated and then comb through with the smaller filter. It gives a lot more control. The colour is so dark black and it gives you a really sooty, blacker than black look. Similar to Diorshow yet more control and a tad cheaper. Is also versatile when you just want a very delicate look, you can just use the small filter.

I LOVE the design of this. It's the most adorable mascara I have ever owned with its pink and purple top. The color is a nice pitchy ink black much color to L'oreal Voluminous carbon black and the naughty side of this makes for amazing volume and good length. It def is for dramatic look at me lashes. However, the brush that comes with this is a traditional bristle and usually for me, those causes clumps and this is no exception. I tried using the haute side first and after to separate afterwards but found that it didn't help much with clumping as I tend to layer on a lot. The haute side side is also great for lower lashes. Another reason why I knocked off a lippie is because I do not have sensitive eyes and yet this always causes my eyes to get super red when I first put it on although after I wait about 20 minutes my eyes go back to normal so I def would not suggest to people with sensitive eyes. This really gives a nice dramatic look and I feel as if it is the best mascara that MAC has ever made but I was not blown away. Will not repurchase.
Like with all mascaras, it depends on the state and health of your own lashes before any mascara can enhance and help them. I do have to say this is pronounced haute, like haute couture. Not out and naughty or ooht and naughty. There seems to be confusion over this name, which makes it sound like some Canadian slang. If you take vitamins and condition your lashes with certain eye makeup removers, then they won't break off and can regain some sort of health. I never use waterproof mascara at all. I don't care if it's 120 degrees. I just don't wear any mascara at all in that case. The thinner brush gives the length and definition, and the fuller brush gives extra volume. It's decent, but Rimmel has a version almost similar for less than $8. The secret to lashes you see on celebs is just using a metal lash comb between coats. Nothing else. I have relatively long and thick lashes already, so mascaras don't vary much on my lashes unless it's a very dry or slick formula.
Meh, pretty basic mascara. I've tried it both ways and neither way is great. MAC has yet to impress me with their mascara. Nothing great, and smudges pretty easy.
Mascaras along with foundations - by far the hardest items to find good ones! However, having heard good things about Haute & Naughty, I bought one and I do like it. Used with either wand, I find it goes on nicely with even coverage and doesn't clump. I really like how the 'haute' wand defines each lash, leaving one with pretty, very natural looking lashes. Not the "gimmicky" item you might think - give it a try.
