I was looking for a cheap primer and this was the first one I found and since I usually love Rimmel, I assumed it would work well for me. Unfortunately, all it did was turn my foundation orange. I assume it would work better on those with darker skin but for me, it just left and orange tint to my face.
This is an average primer - nothing real special, nothing horrible. It's the first drugstore primer I've used and it did surprise me. Yes the product itself is orange tinted but I have very fair skin and it never stayed that way after I applied my makeup. It's a good product in a pinch because it's so inexpensive, but I think I'll be sticking to my usual, more expensive primer.

I ran out of face primer and was debating on going to Sephora to get something high end..
Tried this and it did nothing for me..
doesn't turn me orange BUT it did not help at all to keep my makeup stay.
After a few days of giving this thing a shot, I used the Laura Mercier face primer I had (sample from Sephora) and that was awesome.. night and day compared to this thing.
Oh well.. atleast it wasn't too expensive.
I don't know. I only used this a few times, and it makes my skin orange - I mean, I know the product itself is orange but, I'm really pale, and I think it did nothing to my skin..
I don't know.
this primer is average. it's orange, but that doesn't bother me & i am very pale. i don't have a problem with this primer.. it's just so-so (:

This is an average primer. It makes my skin a little softer when I put it on, and does minimize my pores a bit. It doesn't really do anything for my fine lines though. I think my makeup does go on better when I put this primer on, but it doesn't help my concealer or foundation stay on longer and my face doesn't really stay matte. Overall it's an okay product that will do the trick, but there are other primers I prefer.
This is the first primer I bought, despite the orangey tint to it I couldn't resist when I saw it only cost £2.99. My skin is very oily and can be quite dry in the same place as the oil (strange, I know!) When I first applied this I slapped it one like moisturiser as it has the same consistency. I later learned that was a mistake. My skin is ivory, and in the pre-dawn light of my bathroom it looked like I had a nice natural tan, when I got to work I saw I in fact looked very orange! Now I like being pale, it suits me, a natural tan is fine, but I do not suit fake tan, and that's what I got with this.
But, on the bright side, by lunch I didn't look as oily as usual. So I persisted. Day two, I applied a lot less and it looked a lot better, I looked glowing rather that orange, and it kept me oil free for longer, although not all day. I cant say it held my make up in place as it didn't.
I would buy it again, mainly as the price is so good! And its not bad at all once you get use to applying it. Also, just a quick comparison, I have just bought L'oreal studio secrets smoothing resurfacing primer, and while I have only worn it one day so I don't find it any better. It does nothing to help my oily skin, but it does reduce pore size way better than the Rimmel one.
*A couple of months on I have used it all and will not be buying again as its now winter and my skin has gone back to its pale self and this is just too orange.
I only use this primer for my under eye area. The orange tint helps to combat the blue undertones in that area. If I use this primer for other areas of my face the orange tiny shows a bit. Overall I enjoyed using this!

i really like this primer because of the way it makes my skin feel after it is applied. smells good and it's cheap. the orange tint doesnt have an effect on me because im naturally tan anyway. i think it's worth investing in. i have oily skin so it doesnt really help with controlling oil but it's ok i still like it and i still like using it.
