I have generally purchased and enjoyed many moisturizers with SPF from the various lines offered by Olay. What intrigued me to try this one was the great reviews of MUA and the price point. This particular moisturizers costs way less then offer products offered by Olay with more quantity provided, I paid around $11 for it. I have been using this daily for the last 2 months and overall really like it. Provides just enough moisture to my face and neck and doesn't interfere with my make-up application or performance.

This moisturizer is awesome! I use it everyday after I get out of the shower, then right before I go to bed. My skin feels softer and healthier, plus it leaves no sheen or shine on my face. Love how light it feels, and will be using it for a while. Love it!!

i am not sure if I bought the new or the old formula but this is the name: Olay Complete all day UV moisturizer spf 15 sensitive skin. It has the aloe from the "new" one but also has zinc oxide and dmdm hydantoin from the "old" one. In any case, it's very lightweight and I although it has spf in it it doesn't feel thick like a sunscreen. Actually, I don't find it moisturizing enough for my RAM combo/oily skin. I have to squirt out more than a quarter size to feel like my face is soaking up anything. I bought a 2 pack from costco for 17.99, a decent deal for the amount I'm getting. Overall a good, basic moisturizer...BUT-i am returning it because, like the reviewer below, I am freaked out by the dmdm hydantoin ingredient. On livestrong website, it clearly states that this ingredient is a preservative that releases formaldehyde to prevent bacteria and microorganisms from spoiling the lotion. It is harmful to your skin and the environment!!!! The EWG rates this a 7 out of 10 hazard rating score. I am so not putting this on my face :( so only 1 lippie because it's TOXIC GIRLS! there are too many people afflicted w/cancer and nobody can pinpoint how it happens. Reality check-we are using/ingesting too many toxic chemicals imo...

I previously commented on this product as not being moisturizing enough and causing some clogged pores; however, I found that when I used it on top of the Clean and Clear dual purpose moisturizing lotion in the morning, I had no problems. I have been using this combination for the last few months and my skin looks great. I use the Clean and Clear at night, alternating with Retin-A.

This review is for the OLD VERSION. I just learned that an ingredient in the old formula of Olay Complete for Sensitive Skin, DMDM Hydantoin, converts to formaldehyde upon contact with skin.

Updated review:
fourth ingredient: Polyacrylamide-California requires (current as of 2010) products containing acrylamide as an ingredient to be labeled with a statement that it is "a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer."

eighteenth ingredient: DMDM hydantoin-Antimicrobial formaldehyde releaser preservative. Formaldehyde is a known carcinogen (used to embalm dead people), and while the amount in most cosmetics is low, the FDA does not regulate cosmetics, and the risks might accumulate with daily use and/or use of multiple products containing the ingredient.

OLAY ALSO USES DMDM HYDANTOIN IN THEIR PRO-X LINE. I looked at my Pro-X Deep Wrinkle Treatment and it has DMDM hydantoin as the 21st ingredient. Proctor and Gamble may be putting more anti-oxidants in their expensive products, but they are keeping a lot of the same cheap toxic ingredients that appear in all of their formulations. The sixth ingredient is Polyethylene--plastic bags, anyone? This happens to be the third ingredient in the non-sensitive skin Complete line. Granted, no one has ever demonstrated that smearing your face every morning with plastic is bad for you (unlike DMDM Hydantoin, and acrylamide which are scientifically demonstrated carcinogens) it just doesn't sound like the best idea ever.

This review is for the lotion, I have not tried the cream, but I have noticed many reviews for the lotion in this category. W-O-W! So I've been searching for a day moisurizer because my pevious HG's are mostly geared toward teenagers and I've noticed they haven't been cutting it since I'm being reluctantly yanked deeper and deeper into my 30's. I've been reading a ton of reviews on here and was so intrigued by the differences in the new vs. old reviews of this. I tried Olay Total Effects Sensitive and that was a disaster (see review) So when I returned the TE to the store I purchased 1 Classic Formula and 1 "new" of this product. I get sensitive versions when available because if I wanted perfume on my face I would spray on my own, I mean, come on, who needs that? My skin was never a big fan of sunscreens, but since I use AHA's at night, and switched to an even higher percentage recently, not having a sunsceen is not an option. So, I tried the new version first because I wanted it to be the one that worked for me as I like the idea of having a "skin shield" My face was already a wreck and after 1 day no improvements, so I tried the classic (zink oxide) next. Slight improvement. After 3 weeks of using this my skin had NEVER LOOKED BETTER!! I had also started using regenerist serum under my moisturizer and wasn't sure what was contributing to my new good skin. Then real winter hit and I noticed that this didn't take care of my dry spots all that well. I decided to give the "skin shield" formula another try since it seemed more moisturizing and I felt since I had only tried it for 1 day while my face was already a wreck, I didn't give it a fair chance. It took 5 days of using the "skin shield" formula for my skin to go back to being a wreck. I had to blot every 15 minutes as beads of oil were continuously being pushed out my pores, and somehow I managed to be flaky at the same time and my face took on a gray and sallow look, with puffiness and red itcky bumps and blackheads. I am now nursing my poor skin back to health with the classic formula which is now my HG. I know now that it was this and not the regenerist serum that made my skin so much better. But what about the winter dry spots? Well I just dab a bit of Ponds Dry Skin Cream (tried and true) on those spots only, before I apply and everything's perfect. As far as the sunscreen not being all that great? Well, I'm fair skinned and this definitely works for most days, but if you're gonna be out in the sun all day in summer, you really need an actual sunscreen (sweatproof, waterproof) on those days anyway, not moisturizer with sunscreen. I will NEVER let those chemical sunscreens near my face again. I wish I had listened to the majority in the first place. Live and learn.

Originally I was aiming for Cerave moisturizer, but when I read some reviews on it, I changed my mind and went for this instead. Boy, I am very happy with this lotion. My skin is super uber sensitive. Anything can make it break out. This lotion moisturizes and keeps my skin balanced. When I put it on, my skin appears brighter and smoother. I really love it. It does not break me out, which is a plus. This is one of the very few Olay products that I absolutely love.

I'm not a fan of the NEW FORMULA...it broke me out, it feels greasy and doesn't really moisturize my skin. Feels like it's just sitting on top of my skin. I just don't like it.
I've tried many moisturizers for day use (with SPF), dept store & high-end brands, but I went back to Olay's Gentle Formula for Sensitive skin with SPF (THE OLD FORMULA).
I'm so glad Olay brought this back. This formula works better for my skin. It also has good ingredients that doesn't break me out. I'm using this for more then 10 years now and highly recommend this.

2 stars for the new formula: Absolutely loved the OLD formula (new formula contains ALOE, old formula does not) dislike this NEW formula. Broke my skin out the day I started wearing it and broke it out each successive day until I finally realized it must be this moisturizer and stopped wearing it (took me less than a week to figure it out). I'm talking crazy whiteheads started popping up during my work day. That has NEVER happened to me before. The first day I stopped using this the whiteheads immediately stopped appearing. Ugh. But according to the email one person got back from Olay (email contained in one of the reviews below), they have started making the old formula again... YAY!! I will keep this stuff only to use on my hands for sun protection when I'm in the car driving, etc. Would not buy this again unless I just needed a cheap sunscreen for my body.

5 STARS for the old formula: The OLD formula is wonderful!!! It also contains better quality sunscreen ingredients. Never broke me out, moisturized my skin extremely well. I used to just put on this moisturizer and dust some mineral powder over my skin and I was good to go! Got soooo many compliments on my skin. *sigh* ... I'm having trouble finding this old formula in stores, so might try and order online. Once I find who's carrying this old formula, I am going to buy at least 3 bottles!!!
