YES! So much better than the UD primer or the Artdeco one that didn't do anything for me. TFSI made me understand why everyone was so crazy about eyeshadow primers. Before it all seemed like a gimmick or something that works on everyone else but me.
I have oily hooded lids that don't get on well with eyeshadow but with this the staying time increased from an hour to 6-8 hours. Yeah! And the packaging is much better than UD (I had the old one) or Artdeco!

This is the very first eyeshadow primer I've bought, so I don't know how other primer works. One thing I know for sure is that without this shadow insurance, my eyeshadow looks awful after more than 6-7 hours. With this primer, my eyeshadow remains intact as well as my eyeliner! I couldn't be happier. When you first use it, be sure to shake it thoroughly to disperse oil layer. You just need a dime size or smaller to apply both eyes, so it will last long. I've been using mine 5 times a week for 3 months, and I have long way to go! I don't know how this works compared to Urban decay, but I heard that Shadow insurance is for dry eyelids. Perfect for me -- I have dry eyelids! It's definitely worth money, and I will repurchase again in the future.

I'd read so many great reviews on this primer, I had to get some when my Urban Decay ran out. I was pretty disappoined. First off, when I opened the tube and squeezed it to use the first time, all I got was a big blob of oil. OK, now I know--shake it up first. Second time I used it, I shook the tube thoroughly and still got a small greasy blob, not as bad as the first time but still a little grease. On my eyelids, it takes a bit to set and dry before I can start applying my eyeshadow. When I do go to apply shadow, I feel like this primer makes my shadow go blotchy. I find I have a harder time getting my shadows to blend well. The Urban Decay is definately creamier and thicker. I also have a LORAC primer that I got with an eyeshadow palette that goes on similar to the Urban Decay. Even my $1 ELF primer is easier to use and my shadows go on better than with the Too Faced. I had gotten a sample tube of Too Faced primer in Candlelight as a bonus with my Sephora order a while back. I hardly ever use it because it has a shimmer and I don't like shimmer primers. I have used it 3-4 times and it doesn't seem to have the same greasiness as the regular Too Faced primer. Definately will not re-purchase considering that Urban Decay is the same price and works better for me.

This is the first eyeshadow primer I've tried and I'm impressed, for the most part.

Price--when I was researching this type of product, this and UD kept coming up over and over again as top recommendations. They are an equivalent price. I bought this one because the tube is smaller.

Packaging--decent. Squeeze tube and the applicator does a decent job of allowing you to control how much comes out.

Product--does this keep my eyeshadow on all day without creasing? Yes, so it does what it's supposed to do, and I was pretty skeptical before actually trying it. However, I wonder sometimes if it makes my eyelids look too dry. I am not sure there is an equivalent product in terms of wear that will not cause the same effect. I'm now reading good things about the E.L.F. version so I may try that at some point, especially if it's so much less expensive. I'm also not always crazy about how, when you first squeeze it, a dollop of oil will come out before any product does. I've learned to shake it a bit before dispensing.

I´m on my second tube of this amazing product, 1st eye primer I tried and no doubts I´ll use it in the future, only tried mac paint pot in bare study but it creased a lot and made my gel eyeliner move on to my eyelid.

pros:
-It stays all day long.
-Eyeshadows look much better on top of this.
-The price is good because a tinny bit goes a long way.
-the packaging is very cute and good to travel with.

cons:
-My 1st tube broke up for no reason (I travel with it but I don´t think it could be that...) so I had to cut the tube and put it in a small pot. Still it lasted forever though....
-You have to work it a bit, spend a few seconds putting it on to your lid, not a big deal for me.

PROS: Keeps my shadow on all day. I prefer this to Urban Decay's version of eyeshadow primer because the UD one makes my crepey lids look much "crepier."

CONS: Not the cheapest, but I can't find an alternate that's cheaper. It also lasts forever in the tube for me. I thought this made my crepey looks look even drier and crepier, but I found a tip from an MUAer that I've shared below.

APPLICATION TIPS: An MUA'er said to only apply VERY little of this (almost trying to apply too little on purpose). And she was right! I'm loving this now.

PURCHASING TIPS: I can sometimes find this cheaper at beautybar.com

ALTERNATES: Some prefer Urban Decay's Primer Potion, but it's not good for my older, lined eyes.

Adds HOURS to my shadows. Here's kind of the "trick" to my routine that works best for me - I put it on, then put on my eyeliner (usually Lancome Artliner, and it gives that some extra staying power too). Then I put on my eyelash primer, let that dry, then my mascara, make sure I haven't screwed it up and gotten any on my lids, and THEN I put another "coat" of this primer down. I find that the second "coat" really makes the difference in how long something holds. Been using it with the Maybelline Color Tattoo line, and those puppies are there ALL DAY! (we all know they're lying when they say 24 hour, right? Well, this stuff makes it possibly true. That or my eyelids are THAT greasy :) )

Also, I do that thing where as I'm getting ready I stick it in my bra so my body heat warms it up a little. That seems to make it glide on better. It tends to get build up on the tip no matter how careful I try to be about it, hence the four star for packaging, and when I get a new tube it's a little separated so I "shake" it a little and work it in the tube the first while.

To put it simply, I LOVE this stuff because it works. I was skeptical when the sales lady said she wore it under her eye makeup and went swimming and when she got out of the water, her makeup was still in place! Granted, I have never gone swimming with this on, but I do know that it really increases the staying power of my eye shadow as well as creates a nice base so that the shadow's colors appear bolder.
I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this, it has only been great for me. I don't have oily eyelids so I don't know if that is why it sticks extra well but it does... for example, I put it on at 7am and the eyeshadow still looks rich and bold at 10pm!
And as far as it coming out of the tube all oily and nasty, that could be because it sometimes can settle and just needs a little shaking.
I firmly believe in eye shadow primers and really like this. One tube will also last you A LONG time!

This is a great product, it really helps keep on your eye makeup all day long. Colors stand you excellently. I have been using this also as a primer for my eyebrows. This is a staple in my regimen so I always keep a bottle ready.

Love it! Shadow stays put all day, whether it's cream shadow or powder, no creasing, no smudging, no loss of colour. It's a light cream base which applies virtually colourless (it does have a slight tint to it) so doesn't colour the eye area once blended out. Applies smoothly and evenly. I use it under my eyes also, and under eye concealer and any foundation around that area is still holding on long after my foundation begins to quit.

The squeeze tube makes it easy to use, and I only need to use the tinniest of amounts to get good results. On occasion when I'm near to running out and want to spread it a little further, I mix it about half and half with a cheaper primer, like ELF or Jordana, and still get great results.
