I love the smell of this candle also! Tart, sweet, succulent apples...it makes my mouth water! It has a great lasting aroma, w/o being overpowering. I bought the largest jar (22oz) and I can't believe how much you get for the price! ($19.99)

This candle is strong, but not overbearing at all. It's the PERFECT red apple scent...enough said.
I'm surprised this scent has so few reviews. It's hands down my favorite candle of any brand! It's a true, pure, crisp apple scent. Bite into a Macintosh, inhale, and you have the essence of this candle. The scent is strong and longlasting, yet never overpowering. It's just a clean, simple, one-note scent that's prefect any time of year.
This is my favorite scented candle I have ever used.
MacIntosh is my favorite of all the Yankee scents. I even have a MacIntosh car jar. It is a very crisp and strong apple fragrance. My only gripe is that despite trimming the wick, the red wax seems to melt more unevenly than the other waxes, so the MacIntosh candles do not last as long.
Yummmeee! This is my favorite candle! The scent is clean ,crisp and oh so apple-licious!This candle makes the entire house smell wonderfully cozy and the candle lasts a long, long time.
I love this scent! This is one of my favorite Yankee Candle varieties (and I've tried A LOT of them!) The red color is beautiful and the scent is strong but doesn't overpower or smell sickeningly sweet. A great buy!
Think of an beautiful day at the end of summer, you're in a apple orchard and the warm sun is simply kissing your skin. Idly you reach up and pick a fresh apple off the tree and take a first bite into the crisp and sweet juicy goodness, well that's MacIntosh for you. (Okay yes I know, you should wash the apple first, and check for bugs, but hey, its a review, lets not quibble over details)
I love this scent. It's a stronger scent from Yankee Candle (notice all my reviews are for the 'strong' ones? if you don't realize those are the ones I lean towards buying!). MacIntosh smells like the crispest juciest freshest sweetest apple you've ever tasted, and then magnify it by oh about 100x. Yes it's THAT delish. continued >>
I absolutely love this scent! We do yankee candle fundraisers for work, and I always take my candle to work with me and burn it, so that way people can smell it. I always end up selling more of this scent! it smells so nice and fresh! love it :)
This has become a fall/winter household staple for me. I love, love, LOVE candles, but sometimes I think I love a scent but after a while the scent gets to me (too overwhelming, too perfumy, too floral, etc.). I have tried Fresh candles and Dipytique candles, and after a while I just get sick of the scent.
Not so for the loveliest candle I've ever experienced, the Yankee candle in MacIntosh. The clean, simple, lovely scent of apples is NEVER overwhelming, even after hours of use. I give these candles as gifts and my friends and family are hooked. It's the only candle that can conquer my mom's pet-ridden (and therefore sometimes smelly) den. I bought mine at a Hallmark store.
