This product left me with a very greasy feeling, I actually felt like I was applying canola oil on my lips ewwww... I know !. It's hardly hydrating and it's tastes like rubber, maybe it's just me but I wouldn't recommend this for anyone. WON'T REPURCHASE EVER !!!
I actually felt like these dried out my lips terribly.
I love all the cute color tints these lip balms give, however they're not as hydrating as a normal Chapstick would be. I use it more for the color than actual hydration. I put on the selected color first, and then apply some Vaseline lip cream I have and I rub it all in together and the color stays hydrated with an extra shine to it :) I love the packaging, super adorable and they're only $2.97 at Walmart , would defiantly buy again:)
I have it in 95 Strike a rose. It give my lips a nice tint but doesnt really hydrate to much.
I got this in Pink Punch. It moisturizes dry lips well and leaves a hint of pinkish shade on my lips. It glides on smoothly and lasts for about 2 hours before I need to reapply again.
I have this in the in the Peppermint lip balm. The Peppermint has no color. It smells like mint but doesn't cause your lips to tingle. It has a sunscreen spf of 20. It comes in 4.4g or 0.15 oz. Like others have mentioned, the packaging is cheezy.
Active Ingredients: Octinoxate 7.5%, Octisalate (3%)
I liked the fact that it didn't contain oxybenzone.
It claims to give 8 hour moisture. False. It gives me about 20 min. to half an hour. The good thing is that my lips aren't overly dry afterwards, but the product does disappear.
Not sure if I would purchase this again. For now I'll use until I can find something better.
Baby Lips is finally here!! I was abroad when I realised that they had been released in the UK so 4 weeks later when I came back off my travels I just had to go and buy a few. I brought "Mint Fresh" and "Pink Punch". I'm not a fan of super artificial flavours/smells, so I usually go for anything that seems kind of natural. "Pink Punch" is a fruity, punch (how coincidental?) flavoured lip balm. It provides a sheer but bright pop of colour to the lips (similar to the pigmentation of Revlon Lip Butters, just without the thick buttery feeling). I'd personally say that the colour is a sheer version of 902 Fuchsia Flash lipstick also by Maybelline. I absolutely love this lip balm (probably due to its colour) and I think it provides an excellent base and is absolutely gorgeous alone. "Mint Fresh" is a light, peppermint flavoured lip balm. I usually wear this when I am wearing no make up, going to bed and when I wake up, as these are all times when my lips are very dry and I don't want to wear anything heavy. The Baby Lips that I have tried are very moisturising and long lasting, definitely worth the £3 I paid for each lip balm. Grab one while you can!
i don't get why people like these...the pigmentation isn't great, the packaging is flimsy and cheap looking, and it doesn't hydrate my lips. is not worth the hype.
NICE lip balm with sunscreen. There are several sheer color options. New limited edition options coming out every year. I used only Quenched though since I am a guy.
The texture reminds me of the Vichy Lip Protection Stick which I did not repurchase because I found overpriced. It also resembles the Nivea Lip Balm in the blue packaging, both in texture and size. I can't help wishing it was a bit smaller because it would be easier to carry and wouldn't look like a lipstick in your hand. But I guess if there's also more product it is somewhat justified.
My main complaint is that it does not protect against UVA. It still remains a good option though, if you're not really concerned about longterm effects of sun exposure and just want something to prevent getting sunburned at the beach or during outdoor activities in the sun.
For a moisturizing lip balm, I recommend the Body Shop Cocoa Butter Lip Care Stick - by far their best formula. During daytime I use Banana Boat Aloe Vera and Vitamin E Lip Balm SPF 45. For something in between Maybelline is great, especially if you want color.
