I have picked up two from this Revlon LE collection, and these colors are blowing me away!
They look like ' blah ' colors, or just colors I wouldn't care about, but they look better on me than their MAC counterparts as some reviewers have said.
On a stand-alone, this shade is a nice muted pink that you can just slip on. It's quite sheer, and it's got a sheen, so its not like a CREAM cream shade.
I like it more than creme cup for sure, ( ididn't like that one, so i don't have a comparison. I did like MAc's angel and lazy day and way to love a lot.. ) It's along those lines of nice muted pinks.
When I used it, I was like WOW! Revlon lipsticks are really making me think they're much much better and cheaper than MAC's... :)
Impressed with their shades these days, that's the big focal point. There are much more pearly shades in their regular lines.
This is a great shade for the everyday lip at a great price. It's a soft creamy light muted pink. I would agree w/ the reviewer before me - a dupe for MAC's Creme Cup even Lazy Day, Angel...along those lines. I love the see-thru top on the cap. I can see what shade I'm about to use rather than constantly looking at the bottom of the tube at the label. Love this!
(For reference, I'm a MAC C3/NC25 w/ yellow undertones)
I think this is a pretty good dupe for MAC's Creme Cup, for all the ladies with pigmented lips. It looks almost identical on me, maybe primrose is a bit pinker and less blue-based.I find it pretty bright, not really a nude pink at all. Overall I'm satisfied =)
Definitely a pinky nude on my rather pigmented lips. Very pretty for a fresh face with eye emphasis -- via heavy shadow or no shadow at all. Because this practically obliterated my lips, I find my eyes really stand out. Wish it were slightly less lavender; it teeters on a zinc oxide look if applied with a heavy hand. Moisturizing, versatile, finish is fabulous and packaging is simple but fine. Would repurchase.
prim-rose is a nice pink with pink/ blue undertone...Goes well with pink, peach, lavender, lilac eye shadows. Creamy, nice color that brings joy to the face! For a healthy, natural look! Love it!
I haven't bought a Revlon lippie in quite sometime, but all the fashion mags have been mentioning it, so I purchased one. I probably have at least 5 pink lippies that are dupes for this. I'm fair with medium pigmented lips, and this almost erases them...it gives a pinkish nude look...it's just this side of too opaque,,,I'll wear it, but have to admit I'm disappointed. I didn't pick up any of the lilac, and although it is a blue based pink, I swear it has a touch of peach. As far as the formula, it goes on rather dry, so your lips need to be in top condition or all the dry spots will show. It's a creme formula, so it's not shiny or glossy, and it's opaque on me. It doesen't dry my lips out,and lasts ok for a drugstore lippie. Once nice thing worth mentioning is that is doesn't settle in lip lines, dispite being a bit dry. I think I will try my new MAC dazzleglass lilac colored creme gloss over it to give it a bit of oompf and maybe pull some of the lilac. Wouldn't buy again and if I had tried it on, would have passed. Another good thing worth mentioning...No frost! So hard to find a pink lippie that isn't frost, shimmer or glitter.
This is a beautiful pink-lavender creme l/s.It is part of the new suede collection so I think it is LE-I will definately get a back-up if I can!Primrose is featured in the November Allure where they suggest how perfect this color is with a smoky eye&they are right!!!! All the l/s queens out there will really love this one!!!
A light pink lipstick (creme). Lipstick is mentioned in the November 2010 issue of Allure magazine.
I found this while browsing the Revlon Suede Rhapsody collection, which had 3 new matte and 3 new superlustrous lipstick shades available (I'm not if these are LE, but most likely). This is packaged like the typical superlustrous lipsticks; black shiny tube with gold accent and clear-top cap.
The shade is a light baby pink, with blue undertones and is a creme formula. It glides on easily, does not settle into any liplines and is moisturzing. I also like that after eating, I still have a stain of color left behind.
Price paid was $3.99 CDN on sale.
