I LOOOOOOOOOVVE This stuff all I can say is Bronze tan results not copper/ginger NO bad smells good ingredients for DHA sensitive skin (like me) even streak free tan head to toe, I even use it on my face ( so does kandee johnson! ) the only downfall is the pump package can be leaky always store it upright & shake before each use!
Ok, so I got a really bad allergic reaction to this self tanner, but I will give a review considering the product itself, and tell you what I think about it, and what is good/bad about it, besides giving me a hell of a rash.
- The smell. It's quite strong, but NO self tanning-yucky smell on me, which i totally love.
- The color. It gave me a really nice brown color, no orange, and no streaks.
- The amount of product you use for your entire body. This would have lasted me for a long time.
- I got an allergic reaction to this, and that should not happen with such an extremely expensive self tanner..... It's expensive where I live, I don't know about other countries.
- It dried too quickly, so it stained my hands, and got difficult to distribute evenly over a large area of skin.
- The bottle leaked, so I had to be careful with it. Annoying.
All over, great self tanner, but it clogged my pores and gave me a rash. If you don't have sensitive skin, then this will probably work for you and give you the most amazing tan color if you have medium fair to medium skin.
Bought this after many high recs but found that it was very messy. Stained my hands despite washing them quite badly. Pros: dries VERY quickly and it doesn't smell bad. Cons: did not last for more than a couple of days. In retrospect I still prefer Ambre Solair or even the Clinique one I reviewed quite low (it smells but the staying power and eveness is 100% better than this St Tropez product!) I have tried an everyday st tropez mousse and that was lovely. For some reason this one just applied very streaky, stained my hands and didn't last.
This really is the best self-tanner on the market today. I have used many from drugstore brands to Clarins and I like this one over all others. Wear tight fitting medical gloves ($4 drugstore) and rub until it sets in, about 20 seconds. I find it best to do body in sections with 2-3 pumps per section. Foot and calf, upper leg, stomach, etc.... I put it on at night and then shower in morning. I use it twice a week to maintain tan and it looks so natural. You have to add a little more to hands every other day because you wash your hands more. I can't believe I used to pay $$ for tanning beds. This is so much cheaper and better overall for your skin.
So glad to see Sephora carrying this brand again. I'm used to using the spray version of this but picked up the large, 8 oz. size mousse to try. Love it!!!
It does take longer to apply the mousse to the entire body, but gently rubbing in leaves a beautiful, streak free chocolate brown (i.e. milk chocolate) color to the skin, but dries quickly and even seems to get to the spot on my back that I can't really reach. It's not messy like a spray can be. It's hard to get this wrong. What I like about this version v. the spray is that this bottle will last for 6 months or more, depending on how often you use it. That's better than an airbrush tan in cost. There is no strange spray tan odor, and any minor scent dissipates after a half hour.
I wouldn't be caught dead without this stuff. Amazing product and absolute gem!
Oh...I forgot to mention, use gloves!!! Latex ones worked for me.
