LOVE love love this lipstick! It is the perfect nude for me. It doesn't wash me out or anything. It just mutes down my lips but it doesn't make me look sick or dead. I love this formula it's semi-matte and it stays on for quite a while but just like any other lipstick you have to re-apply. It is so pigmented it's ridiculous considering how cheap this is. I find that I get a better even application by dabbing it on my lips. Definitely recommend this to anyone.
I'm officially obsessed with nude lipstick. I know I get when I'm obsessed about something so I put a budget on this obsession at no more than $6 a pop. I think I must have purchased every single nude lipstick I could find by NYX in the round lipsticks (rea being my fave). Last time Wet N Wild went on sale at Walgreens for 50% off I went absolutely bananas buying some of everything. For some reason I avoided Bare it All. Lo and behold, here comes another 50% off sale this week. I knew I was getting this!!!
And its perfect!!!
Most of the NYX lippies I bought are nice but are too pink or mauve, look exactly the same as another, and/or actually are TOO creamy. They slide all over the place. But Bare it All is perfect for me. Its just browny/taupey enough for my brown skin. I can even get away with wearing this alone (without pencil and gloss) which is rare with nudes for me anyway. This is an absolute great buy for $1! I'm going back before the sale ends to get more!!!
I can't believe this isn't getting more hype! I'm obsessed with matte lipsticks, and I've tried every raved-about nude in the drugstore (Nude Attitude, Soft Nude, Fairest Nude, Fire Alarm... you name it, I've probably owned it and swapped it!) and they've all been either too brown/peachy so as to make my medium-pigmented lips look oddly orange, or too beige or pale so as to make me look dead and sallow. I knew what I wanted in a nude, and that was a matte or satin finish lipstick just a shade lighter and more flesh-toned than my natural lip color (think Brigitte Bardot or Angelina Jolie, not Kim K). When I saw swatches of this online, they looked beautiful on medium skintones and I feared it would be too brown or dark for my fair NC20-25 skin. It turns out this was exactly what I wanted - it's ever so slightly lighter than my lip color but not so peachy that it makes a stark contrast with my skintone and not so pale that I look like a zombie. Even if applied over a thin coat of lip balm, it still comes off very opaque and matte, and lasts a long time. Someone said it looked similar to Brave New Bronze by MAC and looking at swatches online I have to agree. I had almost completely given up on nudes, but after so much money and time wasted, I've finally found my perfect, all-purpose matte nude, and for only $2!
The texture of these lipsticks are definitely matte, and the pigmentation is really good. It's a medium brownish beige. It doesn't lean warm and cool, which is great for me, because I have neutral warm skin. This lip color would match with a bunch of different eye looks. Definitely worth the price. Compared to Revlon matte lipstick in Mauve It Over, Bare It All is less orange, and a tad lighter. The texture is creamy, a tad thick, so it can skip a little on the lips, but I do love that these last really well on my lips.
Annoying gripe with the package is that the lipstick doesn't twist all the way down, so I have to cap it carefully to make sure I don't nick the lipstick.
I picked this up shortly after buying MUFE Sepia 501, and ended up sending the MUFE back - Bare it All is a very close dupe, just a touch lighter, and roughly the same consistency. It's a nice nude-brown that gives lips some definition but downplays them for looks with a dramatic eye.
The l/s itself is great, drying if you don't use it with a balm or gloss, but that seems to be true of most matte formulas regardless of what brand they are. The packaging does kind of suck - my chief complaint is that the round shape makes it hard to apply with precision straight from the tube, which is how I roll. It feels kind of flimsy, but to be honest I would rather get cheap makeup that skimps on the packaging and not the product.
All in all, giving this a 5, because for what it is it's pretty great. I found very little difference between this and the MUFE that was $19 on Sephora.
I pretty nude lipstick. It didn't suck the colors out of my face like many nude lipsticks tend to so I am very very happy with it. Nothing much to say about it, it is a solid product to have, especially with the insanely cheap price.
Great everyday lip color. A nude that can be pulled off without a smokey eye. It's not too nude. It reminds me of MAC's Cherish and brave new bronze lipstick. The pigmentation is great and is true to color to the tube. Just apply some chapstick before and it applies wonderfully. My lips are normally chapped so these aren't drying for me because they apply great. It's a brownish peachy color. Didn't think it would look good on me but I love it! $2.99. wonderful.
Still my FAVORITE lipstick out of all that I own - and I own a lot. Great neutral color that just lightens my very mauve-colored lips to a perfect brown/peach (like I stated before). I picked up a backup for the first time EVER. LOVE this color love love love. Been using it everyday. (I am NC32 golden undertones - for reference)
I am an olive complected (is that a word?) person. I LOVE this color. It is the nude I always wanted. All the nudes I've tried are too light, too pink, too peach, always too something. This sort of erases my lips so I can sport that gray smoky eye that begs for nude lips. I love that its so cheap too.
I just bought this item and I'm a connoisseur of long-lasting lipsticks, such as Colorstay, CG, L'Oreal Endless, Prestige Lip Concentrate and others. I have been buying this type of lip product probably since the original issue of Revlon Colorstay with the commercial of the girls in top hats. I thought it was the best invention for the decade at the time.
I am adding to my nude and pale lipsticks and noticed this brand at Rite Aid but put off buying it. Today on my way home, I picked up this one in Bare It All. It actually looked a bit more plum/mauve in the store than it did in daylight, so I realize I chose a color that is not the best for my overall tone. However, I'm more impressed with this formula than the new Colorstay lip sticks line. They are smoother and I like the idea of a matte nude. I used to wear the long Colorstay swivel up lip colors and this texture is even better than that one. It doesn't give you the feeling of chapped lips and the staying power is great. comfortable-feeling lip products are important and these are a hit. The price is great and I wished I had bought more of these instead of Colorstays. I would highly recommend to anyone, long-lasting lip product fans or regular matte lipstick fans.
i bought this lipstick not expecting to like it as much as i do..it was just da nude i was lookin for and the price made it even better!
