I'm very picky with my mascaras. Formula can't be too wet or too dry. Lashes need to be in a happy medium for thickness/volume.
I was definitely surprised by this one. Falsies is high up there on my list and I'm about to repurchase it. It gives my lashes enough lift and volume without looking obnoxious or clumpy. Formula isn't too wet so my lashes don't stick together, which is one thing I could never stand in other volumizing mascaras! Note, I usually apply my mascara moving the wand back and forth lightly to sort of comb through the lashes.
Worth a try-- I wasn't expecting to like this one :)
This is great mascara for thickness. I use Latisse, so I don't need length so much. This goes on super smooth on top off Select Lash Eyelash Serum used as a clear primer. To avoid clumping, I don't let the serum or the mascara dry between coats. I do lots and lots of quick coats before it dries. Always do bottom lashes for the full false eyelash look.
One of my holy grail mascaras. The formula is on the wet side, which normally doesn't work with my thin and sparse lashes, but somehow it works wonders! The spoon shaped brush is what really makes it work so well. Usually my thin lashes clump together, but falsies adds soo much volume, almost as if I was using a fiber mascara. Its never clumped with me and adds amazing length and volume, I hope they never discontinue it. Its around 7 or 8 dollars, which isn't too bad for a drugstore mascara, and its well worth it!
Definitely THE best mascara of any I've bought in the past 2 decades. Hands down. I agree that it's all in application you can't just blink it on, you have to work it on by gently moving the brush back and forth on your lashes.
This is tooooo clumpy and wet for my lashes. It didn't do much other than make my lashes stick together and clump up. Luckily it was very cheap. But I HATED this. I've never liked Maybelline anything that much so I have no idea why I even tried this.
One of my favorite mascara. Hate to sound cliche but I really do look like I'm wearing falsies when I wear this mascara
it made my lashes clumpy, and look horrible. but that's in my opinion
If you're not in love with this mascara you're not using it right, because it's the absolute best mascara EVER. It was only five dollars and is just the most fabulous mascara ever, I personally think it's even better than any high end mascara you'll ever try. It lengthens and thickens lashes and really does make them look fake. I wore it out to a shop the other day and when I was checking out the cashier said "Wow, you have some seriously long eyelashes!" I just absolutely adore it, one of the best makeup products I've ever purchased hands down. If you apply it right, it hardly ever clumps. If it does, combing your eyelashes will take the clumps right out. I have it in waterproof since I bought it a few days before I went to the beach and when they said waterproof they weren't kidding, it is absolutely indestructible. It takes forever to get it off! Other than that, best mascara I've ever used and one of the best overall makeup products I've ever used.
PROS: It's lengthening and quite thickening. The black is very black. A light coat looks very natural, but it's definitely buildable too. Very minimal clumping for all the volume I get.
CONS: Not really one you can just quickly slap on if you want to build layers (but after using the comb, my lashes look great.) Curved brush is just a little clunky to use. Formula is a little wet, but will set up in about a minute.
ALTERNATES: The Rocket Volum Express by Maybelline (either the reg. version covered by Clarins Double Fix or the waterproof version, which is quite nice) is great for volume and lots of length. For lots of volume and good length, I like Jordana's Volumizing Mascara and Covergirl Remarkable Washable Mascara, which stays on very well for nonwaterproof.
APPLICATION TIPS: Don't use the nonbristle end, like is suggested by Maybelline. Just use the brush as you normally would. I am a recent convert to using Shiseido's popular curler. This definitely looks better after combing. Instead of using the waterproof version of this (which I'm not a big fan of), I use Clarins Double Fix mascara sealer right on top of this. Wonderful.
My lashes are super long!:) (acacia brinley length) and i decided to try this mascara since the name sounded really appealing!:) i bought this from ulta and when i got home a tried it on my lashes looked AMAZING!!! But... i accidentally bought waterproof. Now this is a plus and negative if you sweat/ live in heat/ going swimming/ or you have eyes that tend to tear a lot its perfect. but if you want to get it off it will take AGES.UPON, AGES!! I have showered/ washed my face/ and tried taking it off with my makeup remover that practically removes anything.. nothing happens i got rid of only 50% of the mascara but whatever ill just use this in the summer or in the school year in case i get teary eyes or something.
