If you test CIRCUS FANTASY hoping for a variation on the original Fantasy you’ll be disappointed; CIRCUS FANTASY is all about the natural sweetness found in the notes, rather than cakey, syrupy notes. The perfume opens with a fresh, slightly tart burst of raspberry and apricot. Even though it applies with a sharper edge then any of her other perfumes, there is still a slight sweetness to it...

It’s the middle notes of soft and subtle floral prevent CIRCUS FANTASY from becoming just another ‘sweet shop’ fragrance; the middle notes lend a ‘grown up’ feel, that calms down the sweetness and prevents the fruity notes from completely taking over the fragrance, preventing this from being too similar to Midnight Fantasy.

The vanilla base gives comforting softness to CIRCUS FANTASY, providing a nice contrast to the freshness to the opening. I also love violet, and I’ve never tried a perfume that has it in the base; it seems to make it richer. The notes available on various sites say the violet is ‘candied’, but I never got the sugar rush I was expecting. Any additional candy notes are lost inside the vanilla and the creamy tone to the musk.

Scent notes; raspberry zest, apricot blossom, peony, lotus, orchid, vanilla, creamy musk and violet candy.

The lasting power of CIRCUS FANTASY is OK; although close to the skin. It averages at around four hours on me; so yeah, it does have the poorest staying power out of the Fantasy range.

The price is very reasonable ( I got 30ml for £20 and recieved Britney's 'Circus' album free) and the now-famous crystal adorned Fantasy bottle returns. This time it’s the same shade of blue as the Curious bottle and the crystals are pink. And - yes - the name is stupid. The juice doesn't remind me in any way of a crcus. It's a shameless cash-in on Britney's 'Circus' CD album and tour.

Update; whilst I did really enjoy CIRCUS FANTASY, the strong musk notes it the base caused nausea after a while, so I had to give my bottle away.

decided to give this a second try....and this is really nice....not as sweet as the first fantasy, more fresh as midnight fantasy not as fruity...but fruity...lil tarty in a great way and not as musky as hidden fantasy...bought this and im happy...i have all of them and i actually wore midnight with this and it blends well together on me....each fantasy is different on each person, also...the circus fantasy...is different and for any age group...its really nicee after the drydown...stays clean, tart fruity, sexy, candy like and as u walk by the scent lingers and lasts and it reminds me of all the circus carnival scents that are in the air as i was a kid( fruity tart candy, creamy vanilla ice cream with cones, cotton candy being spun, bubble gum kisses, and fresh air!....like this.....give it a try.
