I love this mascara. No time to write a full review, but here's a quick tip:
I agree it starts off too wet. However, if you wait a week or so, the mascara really thickens up, and then it is perfect! I start if off and have to layer for a few weeks, but then I have the perfect mascara until the tube runs out (which takes forever--I'm horrible about changing tubes every 3 months).
Hope that help!
I overnighted this...no joke. I wanted Va-voom lashes and fast. I already have long lashes, I need thickness. Well, this elongated them ever more and did NOTHING in terms of volume. I even put it on one eye and Loreal Voluminous on the other. While YSL did not clump (even if i tried to clump it wouldnt, lol, smelled cool, and elongated my lashes, I felt like a freak. If I wanted length I would have purchased length.
Im returning this because it does not live up to the volume part at all!!! :(
This does smell really nice for a mascara!! As a volumising mascara though I have had much better (Diorshow for instance) but it feels gentle to use. It does cover every lash though without clumping them together, so they looked good from that point of view BUT it took me a good 3-4 coats to build up a decent look.
After a few hours I noticed flakes of dry mascara under my eyes and it started to get into my eyes! So I have ditched this, edited my review and knocked off some lippies. I am now going to buy Max Factor Masterpiece Max as I would rather waste £9 GBP than £18 GBP ;-)

I must say that this product smells insanely good compared to other mascaras. I really like the packaging as well, but i think the mascara itself is overrated.
This mascara was ok, I have long lashes but they are not thick and lush. I look for mascara that volumizes and makes my lashes super dark and glossy. This mascara added volume but it took about 3 coats. I have yet to find a better mascara for volume than L'oreal Volumous. I have tried everything from
WnW to Chanel but Volumous always looks best on me.

I have Faux Cils in black and in blue. You will get a lengthening effect from Faux Cils, but what I love best is the soft, flexible, and lush lash look. By the end of the day, there are no fibers on my cheeks, no crumbled lashes. Great, buildable formula.

THIS IS THE BEST MASCARA I HAVE EVER USED. If you like the dramatic, feminine, seductive look that classic movie sirens had w/o applying so much mascara that your lashes look like there unnatural and over-makeuped, this is your product. Apply a little bit for a more subtle look (it looks amazing "natural", with only one coat), and more for the most amazing lashes EVER. I feel like an old-fashioned movie star when I use this...it comes in the most glamorous tube I've ever seen and the scent is truly classic. Also, not too heavy..just right. Again, amazing.

The best mascara in the world, hands down! Does everything, curls, lenghthens, thickens, separates...
Even tho its a gd mascara I don't think i'd but it again as I think there are cheaper mascaras that are nearly as good. Heard this mscara dries up quickly too which was why for ages i was considering on buyin it or not. The mascara is quite thick and u can only apply 2 coats as it will clump after more. I do like the volume it gives though. Think I'd prob try another mascara by Lancome or Estee Lauder next.
This mascara does not clump. It does a really good job separating each lash, adding volume to my sparse Asian lashes. With one coat, I didn't see the false lash effect. But with multiple coats, it becomes very dramatic. Yet, it left my lashes softer than other mascaras have. The trick is to not use too much mascara in any 1 coat. Like the instruction says, you are supposed to do both eyes without dipping the wand back into the bottle for more. For me, 1 coat is good for everyday wear (not too dramatic for work). Multiple coats will be good for going out at night. I think this also adds a little bit of length, but not much. As for curling, it holds my lashes up all day. But again, I curl before and after I apply mascara, so that probably helps with the staying power. The only con is that it's rather expensive, at $28 a pop. I think Cover Girl Lash Blast is also a very good mascara, with a much smaller price tag. So I am not sure I will be buying YSL over and over again.
