This is the best all around mascara. It does everything you want it to, lengthens, thinkens, volumizes! Truly a great product.

I love Hypnose mascara!! I've tried almost every mascara out there..from maybelline, max factor, mac, Dior, etc..and Lancome Hypnose is still my fav!! Leaves my lashes looking long and full of volume! Only complaint that I noticed a few others had as well is that it does dry out a little too quick. =/ So it gets a little expensive. Other than that its great, no clumps, no falling eyelashes...no little black specks. Its great I always get "are you wearing fake eyelashes" comments when I wear it... oh yea and if you use a primer like Cils booster underneath it-WOW major volume!

I have it in black as a sample with purchase. The first time I took the brush out to apply it was pretty dry and muddy look on the wand. Did not go on smoothly because of the dryness. Of course it also clumped noticably. After reading some previous reviews I figured it is not a super new tube, since some ladies pointed out it dried in a couple of weeks.

As for the performance, it does lengthen. If apply multiple layers the volume increases, too, at a price of clumps. Maybe a new tube will do much better, if you try to use it up in half a month. Smudging is always a problem between me and my mascaras. This one is just mild. So I happily gave it a 3 instead of lower. I dont like that some mascara (eg WnW) goes on so nice and sleek but smudges in 5 min. So Lancome Hypnose is not all that waste of money. Still, to me it's a waste of money if I purchased a regular product. That'll not happen anyway. That sample again pushes me away from highend mascaras.

I have naturally long lashes, but have been on the search for a product to really thicken. I really found I had better luck with Definicils when it came to thickening than Hypnose. Hypnose didn't flake and smude, so I was very impressed with those factors, however, I was disappointed by the fact that it didn't enhance the thickness as I had hoped it would. For me, I wouldn't buy this again just because I didn't find that it gave me what I had looked for, but it really did a good job of not clumping, flaking or smudging. I'll give it kudos for that.

This mascara sucks a big time for me. Heard a couple of raves from my friend about this, but this failed to do the same thing to me. I guess I got a bad batch or something. My YSL mascara is my best product ever, no one beat this so far. And even, my Max Factor mascaras beat hypnose a big time. I would much prefer my aqua lash from Max Factor than this. This gives me flakes, clumps, and smudges everywhere! Doesn't give any volume either. The only thing it could give me is just a panda eyes. A total waste from such a high-end famous brand. Definicils and Ampicils are much better than this.
But another complain about lancome mascara is, they dry out real fast.

My favorite mascara. Great staying power, no smudge, no clumps when used sparingly. It's especially great with the Lancome Cils Booster Mascara Base to create longer and more defined lash. Love!

My HG mascara, volumizes beautifully, doesn't clump and smudges on little after 12-hour wear. Could hold curl little better, but I use Clarins Mascara Fix on top of Hypnose when I'm going out or it's a rainy day, so no real problem there either. Highly recommend!!

I have found my HG mascara!! I have two requirements for a mascara: It needs to look BOLD (I don't need lengthening, just volume) and it needs to NOT give me raccoon eyes at the end of my 14 hour days! This definitely fits the bill. As a bonus, I get NO clumping and it just looks a little more glamorous than the drugstore brands I had used. It also passed the "sneeze test"-- I happened to sneeze right after I applied it (why does that always happen?) and it didn't get on my cheeks! Love this and will definitely keep buying.

Yes, it lengthens and thickens, but it does flake. By the end of the day I have little black specks all over my cheeks and nose. The price is too steep for this so I'm on the search again for another mascara.
