Hate the flimsy tub it comes in but I love the product. It's very gentle and turns into a thin cleansing milk/scrub when you add water. Smells beautiful and lasts forever too.
I love Lush products, but I wasn't real impressed with this! It didn't exfoliate very well and was difficult to work with. Herbalism works much better especially if you have problem skin!
Got this in a swap. I ahve to admit that I did not like it that much the first time i used it. I just took a dime size amount and added water...it didn't spread very well and right after using it I looked in the mirror and had a small red blotch on my cheek...which turned out to be a pimple the next day...I'm not sure if the product caused this.
The second and thrid time i used it, I mixed it with cetaphil (which i do with the orange scrub from burt's bee) and I find that it spreads better.
Although I say I won't buy it again, it's still a good scrub! I'm just not going to buy it because i ahve 3-4 other scrubs to finish and there are so many other choices out there...but maybe i might change my mind and buy it. decisions decisions...
and unlike the reviewer below, I think the packaging it alright! It's environment friendly, which is what I think LUSH is going for.
LUSh is all about beign natural, some people forget that and complaina bout their packaging.
The only disadvantage of this product is that it's packed in an ugly package. I like it a lot. I have very sensitive skin and was thinking of using only water to cleanse it, because I get all red and itchy when using foam, soap or cleansingmilks. This was the only cleanser that made my skin feel incredibly soft and clean. I just needed to get used to mixing it with some water to get the right consistence, but it's lovely and I will defenitely stick to this.
This is the worst Lush product that I have tried so far. It is gummy and offers no exfoliation at all. It's like rubbing play dough on your face! It is completely inert; it won't hurt your skin, but that is only because it does NOTHING! Plus it is messy and outdated when there are wonderful effective scrubs that disolve and leave no mess at all. Some people still prefer the old fashioned messy scrubs that destroy your sink, but if you really insist on an old school scrub, at least use an effective one! Baking soda mixed with Cetaphil is better than this! I am amazed that this product has continued and it is a hot seller! It seems almost like obedient consumption ... Some people would buy snake oil and say they loved it just beacause there was a rumor Gwyneth Paltrow bought some.
I did not like this at all! It came in a solid mass that you have to mix with water in the palm of your hand to get just the right consistency, and if you don't get it right, it will fall off your face in big chunks. Even when I did get it right, it didn't exfoliate very well (and it definitely cannot be used to remove makeup). On top of that, it came in the cheapest container I have ever seen (my Chinese Take Out comes in a sturdier container than this!). It was not an effective product nor was it pleasant to use, so I definitely won't be buying it again!
I love this stuff. It is by far one of the best skin care products I've ever used. It's exfoliating without being too drying. Love it.
I don't like lavender. But I have learned to tolerate it in order to keep using AoBS. It has calmed my rosacea down to the point where it's barely noticeable. Enough said.
ETA: Sadly, I've had to change my rating of AoBS from 5 to 3. After using it about 1.5 months, it caused my face to start breaking out in tiny bumps, particularly on my forehead and around my mouth. My aesthetician said this can happen with almonds/almond oil, a primary ingredient in this product. Also, my rosacea went back to the way it was before I started using AoBS. As soon as I stopped using it, the bumps went away. Rosacea is no better, no worse. Pity it didn't work out, since it made my face feel so soft! I hope it works better for other people.
Didn;t impress me in the least...stinky and hard to manage in that crap container. I got it all over the sink, myself and then some on my face. So glad I only got a sample. But at least I didn't use it on my body in the tub like Aphrael813! LOL
I also wanted to love this, having heard rave reviews all over Australia. It's nothing more than a handmade scrub with irregularly shaped grains than can scratch the skin, and most of it is some weird starchy, muddy emulsion that doesn't clean very well while hinting of oil. Made my shower really messy with all the mud too, and you have to use quite lot each time. Would stay away from it as far as possible.
