Although this isn't anything very special to look at and the smell is a tiny bit too strong for me, whenever I use it on my sensitive skin, it is always absolutely silky and smooth and looks radiant and glowing. My face feels clean and oil free and for me it has really good results and I like it a lot, particularly when followed by celestial moisturiser. When I first used this combination my skin was softer than I had ever felt it. It really is a great product and I highly recommend it.
This is one of my HG items. ALthough the packaging isn't anything more than a to-go salad dressing container, what's in the container more than makes up for it. I absolutely adore this scrub for after I've washed off my m/u. It leaves my skin feeling clean, fresh, and oh-so-soft. I'm not wild about the fragrance, but I can get past that b/c of the wonderful results I see. This is the only item I have CP for me on a regular basis!
I really like this. I had an initial breakout on my chin, but that usually happens when I change my routine. My skin feels nice and looks clearer if that makes any sense. I've tried mixing this with a little foaming cleanser, but prefer it the way it is. I'm going to keep buying this in little amounts, to make sure its always fresh.
I really like this product. For one thing, it has absolute staying power...this stuff has continued to last even though I think by now it's probably expired. I only need a pea sized bit to do my cheeks and nose. I have sensitive skin with rosacea, so the clay base with only very mild scrub is the perfect exfoliator, and my face feels soothed afterward. It came rolled up almost like their sushi product, but this soft and calming scrub was a hit with me. The carry-out plastic tub lasted only a day or so, but, placed in my own screw-top jar, it's done just fine. I'll buy it again.
I bought this product as it got quite a fair amount of good reviews from other web sites as well. However, it was kinda disappointing for me. Found the scrub particles far too fine to do any real exfoliating - heck, this might be a personal preference, call me sadistic but I'm the type that likes really rough scrubs so I can feel how smooth my skin is after using it. The packaging looks cute in a supermarket kinda way but gets annoying because the lid is so flimsy and tends to crack. The texture is really weird, you're supposed to mix it with some water to get a paste form but most of it just dissolved. It's quite strongly scented, which is ironic for a brand that prides itself on natural ingredients. The price is pretty ok as it does a fairly ok job in comparison to some of the more pricey ones out there on the market and I love the fact that you can pick and choose the smaller sizes to try it out at first.
Hm. Not so much. This product does come in a kind of crappy thin container, and is tough to piece up enough to "add water to it" to get it into a spreading consistency. Still, the scent IS nice (a kind of dirty lavender smell) but I think the oiliness might be a bit too much for sensitive skins. I would suggest adding it to a cleanser rather than just water (like Cetaphil) and scrubbing from there -- but do not use every day, or maybe even every other day because it IS an exfoliant and kinda rough at it, too. I think it's also pretty good to use in the last stages of a serious bath to scrub off dead skin on other, less facey parts of the body (less prone to break-outs) because it IS a nice exfoliant but isn't harshly grained like many of the products sold for use on the body (why is that? Is the skin on the rest of our bodies to be scrubbed down with sandpaper? I do not get it!). I probably will not purchase, but only because there's soooo much other stuff to indulge in at LUSH.land. A WEEK INTO OWNING THIS SCRUB and I can definitely say it's only for body use. I used it on my cheek and it made a big olde mess. Yuckers. Not repurchasing for sure. Gwynneth Schmynneth, she must have the skin of a donkey.
I used this for awhile and really liked it as an exfoliant. But if you keep it too long it starts to separate and smell funky. I guess it was past the expiration date but the label fell off so I couldn't tell. Good if you use it right away but it can lead to drain clogs.
The description on the Lush site and in their catalog made this product sound lovely, and I really wanted to like it. However, the lavender scent is REALLY strong! I don't like using stuff that heavily fragranced on my face since my skin is so sensitive. It didn't easily make a paste, so it was a little challenging to use. Then it wasn't even scrubby enough to remove my dead skin. Yet it was irritating! (I think that goes back to the strong scent.) It actually made me break out in a bad rash on my chin. :(
Don't like it...looks like cement, hard to use (crumbly), and really cheap thin plastic container. I do like the lavender smell, but that's it....
A taupe colored scrub of almonds and lavender oil. Leaves your skin slightly oily feeling, so if you like clean skin with no residue, this isn't for you.
You take a pea-sized lump and wet it, then massage into the skin. The lavender flowers get in the way. I didn't like it, but it was soothing due to the lavender oil. Would be very good for ultra-sensitive skin that can't take soap, as lavender oil calms. The pot was flimsy.
