What was I thinking? I needed a new lip balm, and after hearing some good things about this I decided to try it. Only good thing about this is the cute packaging, and smells nice. The first time you swipe it on your lips it leaves a very thin layer of waxy stuff on it - not moisturising. Swipe it on your lips about 20 times, and it will start to feel slightly moisturised, albeit abused. I leave this on my lips at night, and wake up with even drier lips to start off with.
If you want a product that works, and not a product that's just cute, then leave this alone. This actually cost me about $10 since I bought it on eBay (we don't have these in Aus), so to me it seems like a giant rip-off. If I had paid $3 for this like other reviewers I probably wouldn't mind. This is my first EOS product and very likely to be my last.
i have the eos lip balm in the summer fruit and honeysuckle honeydew. i prefer the summer fruit...it kind of has a candy scent to it...i like that it's not actually flavored and it's just scented.
as for the lip balm itself, it goes on very smoothly. it is pretty thick so it will wear pretty long. though i like the texture, i wouldn't say it's the most moisturizing. i have super dry lips that get easily chapped. this lip balm will definitely not help your lips if they're chapped, but if you need a quick blast of moisture, this is good.
just like everyone else, i love the sphere...i'm nearing my end of the balm and it's pretty much a flat top (the rounded top was good for application cuz you could cover both your top and bottom lip at the same time) and i wonder what will happen once i reach the packaging :P
anyway...i think this is a fun lip balm and will definitely buy again
I love this. Very moisturizing and lasts a long time too!
I like this flavor/scent a lot more than the Honeysuckle Honeydew one. I bought that one first, but only because I had a feeling that if I didn't, I would never see an eos balm again. However, when I found this one, I picked it up immediately and bought it.
Am I picky? Yes, a bit. But they both work pretty nicely. They moisturize the lips a good amount, but nothing amazing. But then again, I have extremely flaky, chapped, and dry lips, even after scrubbing with sugar and moisturizing. The package is pretty cute, too.
This smells like a fruity chewing gum -- I know that it smells like a certain brand, but for the life of me I cannot name which one. (Not Juicy Fruit, though, which is what the Honeysuckle Honeydew one smells like.) This also has a slight taste to it when it's on your lips--slightly sweet--but nothing too noticeable. Honeysuckle Honeydew has this also. Do I find this too waxy? Not really. Before using this and the Honeysuckle Honeydew one, I used an extremely waxy lip balm, so these are nothing compared to that one.
It also doesn't hurt that the package of this flavor/scent is in red, my favorite color. All that aside, though, a so-so lip balm. Nice, but not the best. I checked "yes" for rebuying though, because I'm not sure what other kind of lip balm I would buy once I ran out of this one and the Honeysuckle Honeydew one.
This round little ball of organic cuteness is worth the buy. I was attracted to the packaging and shelled over $2.50 for it, and I don't regret it. I can't vouch for the other scents, but this one is beyond yummy! The summer fruit lip balm sphere smells like fresh berry bubblegum. It snaps shut with a twist and it's fun to apply to the lips. I'm addicted to it now. It gives my lips nice moisture and nourishment - no complaints here. It isn't mind boggling or better than any other lip balm in the world, but it works just as well as Burt's Bees and other leading brands. I'm very pleased, and it's just too adorable to pass up.
I personally really like this lip balm. I find myself reaching for it even when I don't need it because I really like the smell (to me it smells like passionfruit) and, of course, the packaging. As for how well it moisturizes, it's just okay. It feels really good for the first couple minutes but then it kinda feels like a waxy residue is left on after that. It definitely does not moisturize as well as my HG Carmex, and for that reason, I would not repurchase.
The only reason I think this has such a high rating is the packaging, which is super cute and I love it.
The balm itself is not very nice, don't love the scent - it smells and tastes too synthetic for me (and considering it's supposed to be all natural, this is wierd).
I don't think I'll buy this one again, going back to my Honey Burts Bees
I gotta admit it looks cute. Plus it was essentially free with Register Rewards. Being a spaz, this packaging design doesn't work for me. When I drop it (I'm sure that will happen) it'll be contaminated since the product is completely exposed without the top. Also, the scent is weird. It smells artificial. Not a fan.
Edit: Had to downgrade. This dries my lips out something fierce. I've been using it for two days straight (apply several times a day), and now my lips are all chapped.
THIS IS MY NEW CRACK!!! It keeps my lips super soft and the packaging makes it easier to find in my bag. I refuse to leave home without it!
I've grown to like this. It isn't the best lip balm but the scent is so nice. I like to keep this in my purse and bust it out as an icebreaker :)
