The best moisturizer available. It doesnt make me breakout. I use it for growing eyelashes/eyebrows and on lips and skin. It heals the cracks I get during the winter. The only disadvantage is that it is sticky, so I only use it during the night. When I only use it on my lips at night, my lips become incredibly soft and I dont have to use any lipbalms during the day.
My third review! :)
The joys. . . of V a s e l i n e. So multi-purpose, I can spend hours reading other reviewers' reviews on this product and STILL find something new to use it for. It's cheap, effective and the king of all petroleum jelly.
The MAIN thing I use it for is to SEAL IN MOISTURE. Not provide moisture, but seal it in on top of another lotion, etc...
That's why it's perfect to use at night over a lotion, to SEAL IN the *lotion's* moisture.
I also use it for: softening my feet and hands (under cotton socks and cotton gloves overnight), taming my eyebrows after I put on makeup, removing makeup mistakes with a cotton swab and adding gloss to my lipstick.
I wouldn't recommend using this during the day because in the daylight you can see its waxy effect.
It's definitely one of my beauty necessities. I need this stuff!

As a beauty product, I pretty much only use Vaseline for 2 main purposes; grooming my eyebrows and as a lip moisturizer/gloss. I've tried Smashbox Brow Wax to groom and while I'm very happy with the results, you simply cannot beat the bargain basement price of Vaseline to serve that same purpose. And Vaseline is the ONLY lip moisturizer that consistently delivers and never disappoints. Did I mention that you simply cannot beat the bargain basement price to serve that purpose?
I use Vaseline mostly on lips but sometimes also on dry patches of skin. Lately I've been using it to seal in my hand cream at night and it works brilliantly. Leaves my hands silky soft and protected. I do not use this on facial skin as I find it too oily in texture for my skin. Cheap and multi-purpose- a staple for all skincare routines and makeup bags.
Great all round product, particularly in winter. I use it over the top of my regular moisturiser on my body, hands and neck at night (not my face as it tends to give me pimples) and it really keeps the moisture in and the flaky skin at bay. Also fantastic for smoothing the feet, just rub in a fairly thick layer and put on an old pair of socks before hopping into bed. An excellent lip balm and great for getting rid of frizzy hair. Just warm the smallest amount in the palm of your hand and rub it into any dry frizzy hair sections - perfect. Lastly it makes a very good leather and vinyl conditioner. Just rub some into your shoes or handbag, leave for a little while so it can soak in, and then buff off with a cloth. It will clean off dirt, partially protect the item from water and leave it with a bit of a shine.
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this one yet.
I use this all the time. Great for lips at night, and as a protective, healing layer on a cut or blemish that's been popped.
Also, I've recently started using a light layer of this stuff over my moisturizer at night, and holy crap, in the morning it's perfect. I don't even feel it on there anymore (maybe I rub it all off in the night, who knows), but it's done wonders for my dry, sensitive skin. Much less flaking during the day (especially since I use benzoyl peroxide for my acne).
Another awesome side effect: a light layer of this over moisturizer on fine lines really reduces the appearance temporarily, it's kind of amazing.

I love vaseline, its one of this things that everyone needs, this stuff literally saves me in winter when my skin is all flaky, i just whip a bit on before bed and in the morning the flakes are gone.
Also lovethe price and the fact it can be used on almost anything!
Of course ill be buying again, though in our house i think we have one in every room already!

I love Vaseline! I used it ever since I was young. I use it carry a small squeeze tub in my backpack for scrapes and cuts but now I use it on my lips mostly. A great product to have around.
I have this in the big jar and I usually use this mainly on my lips, eyes and sometimes, my eyelashes. This is really great on moisturising my lips and eyes, especially when they are really dry! I apply this a thick layer on the lips and eye area before going to the bed and wakeup with a nice full moisturised lips ( I already have full lips but they are dry!) :)
When your lips are well moisturised, it is plump and full at its best.
I prefer to use some oils on my eyelashes than this though.
This is a MUST-HAVE product! I'm speechless if anyone doesn't have this at home. haha*
I never thought I'd re-discover the ancient jar of Vaseline I had in my medicine cabinet, but I'm very happy I did! I recently switched to Stila's Lash Visor for mascara, which is great but it's really waterproof. The Aveda make up remover I was using just wasn't working (since it's oil free and this mascara NEEDS an oil based remover to get it off). I had to rub my eyes raw to get it all off. I was about to spend $23 on a bottle of Vincent Longo remover but I thought, hey, I'm in a pinch, I'll try some vaseline....sooooo happy I did! It completely dissolved my mascara and did not burn or irritate my eyes (as most eye makeup removers seem to do with me). Should I mention it's super moisturizing? No traces of eye makeup, no irritation, soft skin afterward and it's like $3 a jar which will last a very long time! Forget ridiculously expensive removers, I'm sticking with my vaseline.
