I really love using Special Cleansing Gel- it is a gentle, high quality face wash that leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. It has some beneficial botanical ingredients, and smells so soothing and comforting. Although it's pricey, a bottle should last a long time, as a little bit goes a very long way. It isn't too easy to find- some salons (designated to sell Dermalogica products) and beauty supply stores carry it. It's best to check the dermalogica website to see where you can buy it.

I used this at my cousin's place a while ago, since I forgot to pack face wash...I loved it, and bought my own bottle shortly after. It creates a nice, foamy lather that rinses clean, leaving me with soft, fresh skin- not at all tight or dry. It hasn't contributed to breakouts, actually keeping my skincare routine free of harsh, drying products has been very beneficial. I have combination skin (oily t-zone, normal cheek area), and this has been perfect for me. It is suitable for all skin types- it's very gently and effectively cleanses skin. I don't usually pay much for beauty products, but am willing to make an exception for this.

I purchased this upon recommendation from my esthetician. It didn't make me break out or dry my skin out, and I liked the product a lot, but when I ran out, I didn't like it enough to re-purchase.

It is just a basic, gentle cleanser...way, way overpriced. I like that is is mostly natural, but there are so many drugstore cleansers that will do the same job for a lot less out of your pocket.

Again, another must have product.
Great for the price, you honestly need less than a pea-sized amount to wash your face with so the bottle lasts a very long time.
I love that it's super effective yet gentle, i can open my eyes while cleansing my face with this product, i value that in products because my skin is sensitive and if a product hurts your eyes, imagine what it does to your skin!!
All around, a great cleanser that anyone could use.

While this product is expensive in my opinion, it definitely works well. It is a light cleansing gel that is lightly scented. It cleans well but leaves your skin fresh and not dry and tight! So basically a good cleanser without overdrying effects!

I absolutely love this stuff. It smells amazing, and my face feels clean without feeling tight. I used to get hormonal acne but ever since I switched to Dermalogica products I haven't had any problems with acne *knock on wood*. I'm normal to dry (pretty dry in the winter) and I use this with my Clarisonic. I also use the Gentle Cream Exfoliant once a week. I'm still using up my Clinique moisturizer I bought but it's not enough for winter, so once that's gone I'm going to try to Dermalogica moisturizer as well. It IS expensive but a little goes a long way, this bottle will last months. My only complaint is that it dispenses too much gel -- it's really hard to get the perfect amount out so I feel like I waste it sometimes. But if it helps my skin look amazing that's not a big deal to me at all. Very impressed with Dermalogica and will continue to purchase!

I switched to Dermalogica about 5 months ago and my skin has completely cleared up and looks so healthy. This cleanser is a clear fragrance-free gel that removes every last trace of makeup off my face. My makeup remover has been collecting dust on the shelf since I started using the cleanser. It does slightly dry my face, but that doesn't bother me since I moisturize my skin afterwards. It is pretty expensive, but the bottle lasts for ages because it only takes a tiny amount to cover my entire face. I think I will be sticking to Dermalogica for now!

First off, let me explain my skin type because the profile may not really give the correct reflection- especially for the way my skin reacted to it. I have combination skin, it is generally 'normal' with occasional oiliness, but in addition, it is dehydrated but NOT dry, yetit tends to break out if I use heavier moisturizers.

I use a clarisonic to cleanse my skin once at night, so in the morning I use this cleanser on its own. I liked its texture and the amount it lathered- it seemed to do a good job cleaning my face at first, even though it didn't lather as much as my regular stuff does. However, in less than a week my face was dry and flaked a lot. My cheeks and chin are generally flaking while my forehead is visibly dry. My skin is never like this. I don't think I will be able to use this product on my face anymore, will probably just use it as a shower gel or something.

The good thing is that I got it in a set so its a really small size, but I haven't started using the other products in the set, and now I'm a bit wary.

I had my first facial (I'm 30) about 2 months ago and the spa used Dermalogica.
I have always wanted to try the brand, but wasn't sure due to the price tag. So I thought I'd just go for facials every few months.
The esthetician sold me on the Special Cleansing Gel and a few other products and said that I wouldn't have to come as often for a facial if I were using the right products.
I must say that after a couple months of washing my face "properly", it looks really good.
I will continue using this face wash (I just have to buy it in the US because it is far more cheaper than in Canada).
