This moisturizer is great for my skin when it's either really really cold or dry. Its too much for in the day but if we're out walking (we do 5 - 6 mile hikes all the time) or as a night cream, this stuff is great...and fairly reasonable compared to my usual moisturizers. I'd definitely repurchase just to give my face that moisture surge when the temp drops.

Love Kiehls face products they are great for sensitive skin... The Ultra facial moiturizer is great for the winter I use as a night cream on top of my anti aging serum and its not to heavy. I will defenetly recommend this

This is the first Kiehls product I've tried. My skin is slightly oily but also not quite well moisturized. This cream did great things to my skin. The texture is like a light cream that has a perfect mix of the gel/emolient feel to it. It moisterized really well, and doesn't makes my skin oily or tight. I have a couple of pimples here and there naturally and some small little bumps. This cream made my skin really smooth and glowing. I've got loads of compliments on my complexions. The price is right for what it does. If you are looking for a nice cream with some vitamin E and some nutrients this is good but if you're looking for a cream with Vitamin ACE, anti-aging stuff, this is not the one. I think matching this basic cream with a good antioxidants/anti-aging serum would be great! I have not problem with the packaging. I like the tub kind and it's not made of glass which is great for someone who travels a lot like me.

I had a phase where I really wanted to like and use Kiehls products. This one I unfortunately did not love, but mostly because it reminded me an awful lot of Elmer's Glue. As for its effectiveness, while it is a bland moisturizer that did not irritate my sensitive skin, it did not seem to really moisturize. I have combo skin and this felt like it was sitting on top of my skin, making some areas greasy and not moisturizing the dry areas.

I really like this. At least for the winter. I was wary at first, since it's so thick, and I'm acne-prone. It sinks in nicely though, and is really soothing; you just have to give it 5 minutes or so. So don't apply this when you're in a hurry to get your makeup on. I've noticed an overall softer skin texture since using this. I think I would repurchase, as it's a nice, basic moisturizer.

I bought this on one of my shopping sprees ( way back when I actually could afford it ) and found it was a good DAYTIME moisturizer. It did not break me out but I did notice that right after I would put it on.. my face would sweat ( weird ) I did not purchase again because I find their are other products less expensive with better results ( ps: I use a foundation with SPF so selected this product without the SPF)

After hearing how so many stars use this on their face under their makeup, I had to go on a hunt for it. I don't have a Kiehls counter anywhere near me so I had to rely on a swap to score this one. I'm so glad I swapped for a sample rather than ordering it online or purchasing it. This stuff broke me out something awful...I still have like 3 huge pimples on my face from this. It doesn't have a scent so I liked that, but it is a bit heavy and greasy. I'm actually baffled that this gets so many raves for those on the red carpet. I used this on a client and yes, it did help melt her foundation right it but after a couple of hours she was a hot greasy mess! Will not purchase.

I have combination skin and occasionally some pimples. I thought the cream might clog pores as I normally use much lighter moisturizer. Well, it surprises me that after I apply it on my face, my face feels ample moisturized, not greasy. It doesn't cause irritation. The only thing is, if I'm not working in the airconditioned room, then the cream is too rich for me. Also, putting it in a tub isn't that hygiene for me...

I am using the generous mini bottle sample of this moisturizer. I'm using Retin a at night 2x a week and my skin tend to get dry from the treatment. I'm not thrilled about this moisturizer but not disappointed either. It's a very neutral frill free lotion when and works to calm irritated skin but it's definitely not my go to moisturizer as it seem to be very heavy and causes braekouts.
